The 'better combat log,' if what you mean are the more descriptive attacks and stuff, are not just cosmetic

Actually, streamlining the attacks and their text might be an idea. The AI likes to throw in stuff like random scratches and pommel strikes and such things, I'm guessing it picks an attack at random and aims for whatever has the best chance of hitting? If there was basically the 'hack' entry reworded and repeated a half dozen times, it'd make combat more lethal because the AI would end up selecting more lethal attacks, right? Would this even work, or is there some other reason why adamantine-axe wielding champions are biting and punching all the time?

This is easy enough to a person to mod themselves in about 15 minutes though.

I'm confused about the evaporating stone...  Meph says he's going to add something temperature related back in...  I thought it was a vanilla feature for evaporating stone...

Anyways, what would the change be?  I would like to get ahead of the curve and implement it back int

What?

I am not adding anything temperature related in. I am removing the boiling point for some stones I wanted to disappear, to reduce clutter. Isnt really necessary since the 25% dropchance on rocks.

boiling point would be the temperature related thing I was speaking about.  Thanks for the clarification (I wasn't referring to adjusting temperature settings in the game, but something more specifically towards the evaporating stone). 

back on this post, I thought it was a vanilla feature

Boiling stones are, boiling stones being used in order for reactions to cause syndromes isn't.

To clear it up:

I added a boiling point to some rocks that is so low, that all of them evaporate, to reduce the amount of rocks. I will undo this change in the next release, because 1. its not that useful, and 2. it doesnt work without temperature.

As I was modding my civmwforge mod, I became aware of the changes you did for accelerated mod, and then I was thinking... wait?  Where's the modest mod changes.  So I opened up modest mod, and I see you haven't incorporated them...  I thought you said you had.

Have a look at the first post. There are two downloads. On is AcceleratedDF, the other is Accelerated Modest Mod. AcceleratedDF does not include any bugfixes and balancing. I dont know which version you took, but if you dont have the modest mod changes, you must have downloaded the wrong one.

Hey, Meph, this might be the wrong place, but I've been bugtesting the Accelerated CivMWforge mod that puts some of your work into the civilization forge mod, and I wanted to say thanks for developing it. The before and after from adding your accelerated mod in is amazing. I get 400 calculation FPS with 50 dwarves.

Nice work, and thank you again. IT'S AWESOME!

Trying out the Accelerated mod (the basic one, not the Modest), but I'm kinda hampered by an odd bug. My horse and buffalo are starving to death, while devouring half the map's grass.
