And possibly encouraging others to go LG as well, if only due to the sex and drugs :P

Because, I love how one of the books for divine classes says "Paladin's don't actually take an oath of chastity. Take that as you will"

Paladin recruiter: Uhhh, no. Just being evil. Is sex evil?
Paladin hopeful: Oh hell no. Sex's alignment is Lawful Awesome.

Count me interested.

I am considering ways to break this wide open.

...Simply as a test, of course. I wouldn't dream of something like actually breaking a campaign. I already convinced Wrex to ban Divine Minion and will soon do so with Ghost.

Anyways, I'm requesting the Half Fey template class from here (Sans glitterdust, of course, because dat is broken)

Am thinking Shadowcaster right now. But it's not on the tier list so obviously it's tier 7 right?

So I'm going to make a feral mineral warrior goliath fighter called Bearstalker. I used a 32 point buy, but I'll adjust and refine it based on your rules in the morning. I'll also write the backstory and fill out the sheet when it's not one in the morning. I just wanted to put the template/race combo up for approval before I get too far. There is a lovely synergy with the natural armor bonuses between templates, which I'm liking.

Feral template - Savage Species p.116
Mineral Warrior template - Underdark (Forgotten Realms) p.97
Goliath - Races of Stone p.56

Quote
Type: Exalted
Source: Book of Exalted Deeds

Your touch is poisonous to evil creatures.
Prerequisite: Con 13.
Benefit: Any evil creature you touch with your bare hand, fist, or natural weapon is ravaged by golden ice (see Ravages and Afflictions in Book of Exalted Deeds, Chapter 3: Exalted Equipment for effects).
Ravages are apparently "Good aligned poisons" because they are mixed with strong opiates. Yeah, the book is stupid. Still, Heroin slap.
I always interpreted it as "Ravages are good because they don't hurt non-evil creatures."

Well, we seem to have a couple warriors and a wizard...shall I be the obligatory loveable rogue?

Kinda tempted to make a xenotheurgist, since this is the only campaign that I'd be likely to ever be allowed to play one in. Maybe one with the healing murmurs, since we don't have a healer?

I'm a powergamer, so if you want I'd gladly give up my spot as a fighter and roll something like a Hallow or something I've never seen before... I'll probably do that anyways. 3d6+14 damage from the start makes me feel like I'm cheating. I'll look around and roll something that isn't a front-liner for a change.

EDIT: I'm making a Harrowed character, but what I'm reading is clearly broken. Under the feats section there is something saying that I can take a 1 level dip in rogue to gain sneak attack with full advancement (Harrowed levels advance it). I'll avoid making a Harrowed Rogue for the DM's sanity.

Edit: made a stupid mistake.

In other news, does Bard qualify as a tier 5 class?

I might be interested in this. There is a certain swashbuckler/master of masks build I always wanted to try, and these houserules could make it actually viable to play. Do low-tier PrCs also get you LA under these rules?

The tier list: http://brilliantgameologists.com/boards/index.php?topic=5293

I'm going to have to disagree with the T5 = LA rule. Of the Tier 5s, several can be fantabulous dips. Skillmonkey? Start out with an Expert 1 dip for a free LA+1 race or template, and get 40+4*int skill points among whatever skills you want; before Factotum, Expert was an actual option. Melee? Fighter 2 gives you two free fighter feats, which can be great.

I would agree with a free LA for someone who takes the 20th level of Rogue, though.
