Wireless internet Problems
« on: October 18, 2012, 07:28:16 pm »

My connection is getting more and more unstable and I don't know why... and here is why

1) The router itself isn't the problem. It is a good router.
2) The internet connection isn't the problem... when hooked dirrectly to the internet it works perfectly.
3) What picks up the signal from the router isn't the problem.
4) No spyware
5) Not location

My only guess is that something is creating a large interference signal.

Are microwave ovens or wireless phones operating in the vicinity of your wireless router? It's known that they interfere with the proper operation of wireless routers.

I said no to location. As well it wouldn't create an unstable connection. It would create a low connection.

If it's a desktop with an aerial thingy in the back, make sure it's screwed in properly. That was once a 'goddamn' moment for me.

when you mean hooked directly to the internet do you mean a wired connection to the modem or the router? Good router as it may, the wifi can still take a shit. Whats the brand?

I got the issue fixed getting a new card >_<

It still makes no sense... but I can only assume the card started burning out and a VERY oddly inconvenient time.
