Last number I got from a girl playing it very coy was reminding her of my phone number in case she'd lost or forgotten it, asking for some feedback on something that couldn't be answered right away, then becoming unreachable by other means than the phone.

Course this was less being manipulative than trying to coordinate some plans with her while being about 1500 miles apart, and becoming homeless with unreliable internet access in the meantime, but it worked out. Strangely enough dating while homeless provides more challenges than moving across the country and finding work with no budget.
