The mage may give us information and help us on our quest. If he sees me he should give us help, maybe not heal us to full but enough to get to the ToMH without passing out becasue some of you look like you are about to fall over.

I don't think the humants have left their room and the mutants are too stupid to find the door. Even if there is no mage we can rest there with little fear of attack.
