What a disappointment. The buttons all do something boring or inconvenient like turning off the lights or shooting at stuff. There's not even air conditioning on board, and it's too warm for Alan's tastes in there.

To get cooled down for a bit (and keep himself from succumbing to the lure of the buttons), he decides to take a walk outside. Take off his coat? Hah, never!

After noticing Iris is simply asleep, but deciding against using the robe (God knows how it looks on the inside), Barth lifts Iris with care not to carry her inappropriately and prepares to move back towards the airship, sighing deeply.
"I'm sorry if we can't explore that place any further, but there were enemies back there. They may be needing my help, like the last time."

And so he starts to walk, making sure to keep his eyes on the path ahead and his hands where they won't get him in trouble in the future.

((If you want Iris to wake up/stop faking and prevent Barth from carrying her and walking back to the airship, this is the moment.))
