Richard stands his ground in front of Allan and Iris, defending them.

He points at the large hound and Ixion blasts thunder at it, stunning it.

"Um...help?!"

Iris' hand twitches, and she raises her head a bit.

"Magical exhaustion. Good night."

She then loses consciousness again.

"With pleasure."

It leaps at the hound, blades flashing. The hounds takes a swipe at It with its paws, knocking him to the ground.

"That tickled."

The hound breathes fire at It's direction.

Richard swipes at it with his bat, and he hits a leg.

The hound yelps and stumbles a bit.

It sidesteps the blast of flame, and charges at the hound.

"Don't worry about me."

It leaps forward into a roll, and lands beneath the hound. The blades flash, and the hound is gutted. But instead of blood, a jet of mist billows forth from the wound.

Barth scratches his chin, wondering why Richard's hasn't summoned anything summoned creature was contributing so little to the combat. Even the enemy didn't seem very interested in causing real damage.

In the place he had come from, giant hounds tore apart people who rushed them with bats or even swords while wearing no armor. There was something afoot there, or something that size would have killed most of them in no time.
"Hey, summoner. I think that monster is a distraction."

Allan shook Iris' shoulder gently before glancing up at the fire-breathing hound.

"I don't think she's getting up anytime soon. I don't think it'll be safe to stay here. We'll have to carry her."

Allan put down his staff and picked up the catgirl, cradling her in his arms. He knew he'd have to leave his staff behind to carry her, but he didn't mind giving up something so insignificant.

"We should go."

(Richard already did summon.)

"For what?"

Richard smacked the hound again, then pointed at it's skull. Ixion struck it with lightning and it stumbled backwards.

The hound reared, then pounded the ground with a slam, knocking Richard down.

"Allan, get her out, I'll cover you!"

Richard groaned. He wasn't used to fighting with his Persona too much, and the use of Ixion's lightning bursts were taxing on him.

He picked himself back up and backpedalled. Ixion flew backwards in retreat.

(My bad, Ixion was acting so little and Richard was getting so much screen time I forgot.)

"Are you sure you are abandoning your staff?"
Barth slid down the tree, falling to the ground without much grace before breaking into a sprint, cutting the side of the hound to distract it from Richard and jumping back, climbing the tree once more.

"Just run." he said to Richard "I doubt it's really very focused on killing us all or it'd have done it to at least one of us."

[The Fool]

"I'll be further down the path. Come as soon as you can. Don't bring my staff, it'll slow you down. It weights a good three stones easily."

Allan broke into an impossibly quick sprint with the catgirl in his arms. Running into the unknown didn't seem like a great idea, but it was better than staying there. As he ran the trees seemed to grow more and more dense, pooled around small bodies of water.

(Gah, sorry. I didn't mean to give myself so much.)
"Agreed..."

Richard picked up Allan's staff and began sprinting.

He was beginning to get overtaxed from keeping Ixion out, but he needed to make sure the hound didn't do too much damage.

Which is when it looked at Barth hungrily.

It slashes again and again, each time causing mist to billow out.

"GO YOU STUPID SON OF A BITCH!"

It leaps for the tail, grabbing it and garnering the hounds attention.

"GOT YOUR TAIL MOTHERFUCKER!"

The hound growls hungrily, preparing to pounce at Barth.

It kicks It in the gut, knocking him into a tree.

"OH, HELL NO."

It charges at Barth, shoving him out of the way. The hound leaps, and catches It in its mouth.

"GOTCHA BITCH."

Spikes jet out from Its back, jabbing into the hound's mouth.

"DO I TASTE GOOD NOW?"

The hound looks surprised, then shakes It around, smacking It on the head in a tree several times, then roasts It in it's mouth with firebreath.

Meanwhile...

Richard jogged after Allan and Iris.

He didn't know HOW Allan carried his staff, it was so heavy...and he was tired from fighting and keeping Ixion out...

"I am NOT having the best day today..."
