Barth watched the scene, somehow not very surprised at how things were turning out to be. Even the girl who was only a trader seemed to have magical abilities. It was starting to look as if he would be left as the only person of the group without any special powers, maybe except for the trickster man, whom he wasn't able to determine whether had any exceptional abilities or not.

But he was used to a life surrounded by powerful adventurers, warriors and mages. Back home, however, he would rather stay away from them, lest he got dragged by one of them into a murderous adventure or targetted by the series of accidents they caused, mostly by their reckless antics.

He just hoped their group could fare better. At least they hadn't killed any innocent so far. He held onto some branches, balacing on top of a thicker one. The medic was used to survival, but he was no ninja.

Richard pointed at one leaping at the momentarily distracted Iris, and the strange dog-creature is immediately smited by a lightning bolt from Ixion.

More howls come from the bushes.

Allan took a swing at one of the shadowy hounds as he stepped back towards the others. He missed, leaving a small crater where the head of the metal staff was. Not having a lot of time to react he moved his right hand off the staff and swept his forearm towards the hound. The hound's spine seemed to bend as it flew to the side, slamming into a tree.

"It looks like we're in for quite the fight."
