Richard chuckled lightly. The video had just finished.

He fished in his duffel bag for food.

He took out a brioche and some butter.

Richard looked confused. He hadn't put anything like that in there.

"Uh guys? Who gave me this stuff?"

"I VOTE FOR THE PLAN OF GOING IN DEEPER INTO THE FOREST AND TELLING THE DESERT TO GO EAT DICKS! THERE ARE PROBABLY RUINS AND SHIT IN THE FOREST!"

"Mind explaining why I suddenly have a French bun and butter in my bag? I'm pretty sure none of you touched my bag and had those."

"I HAVE NO FUCKING IDEA FAGGOT! PROBABLY XENO WITCHERY FROM THIS WORLD OR SOME SHIT! ALSO YOU WATCHED THE MOVIE THE ENTIRE FUCKING NIGHT, WHY THE FUCK DID YOU DO THAT?!"

Iris walks back, and nearly walks into a wall.

"Maybe the walls gave them to you? And can I have that butter?"

"Um sure..."

Richard splattered some on his brioche, and then tossed the rest to Iris.

"Maybe my duffel bag became some sort of food vortex? Eh, I'd better still have my books, bat, and phone in here..."

Richard rummaged in it to check for the aformentioned objects.

Iris starts eating the butter, and idly watches the dust float up and form words.

LOOK UP

"Why is everything talking to me?"

Richard looked at the words.

He drew his Evoker. Something told him using a cricket bat wouldn't do any good.

"I don't like the sound of that."

"If that's the case we'd fair better in desert than before, but I doubt it'd be enough for everyone."

Allan took a bite of his fish, pulling a few bones out of his teeth. It was well cooked. He glanced over to Iris.

"What?"

He noticed the lettering in the sand.

"...huh?"

Allan looked up.

Iris looks up as well, and sees a bunch of white dots in the otherwise... green? Yes green sky.

"PLEASE don't tell me those are bad."

"Perhaps we should be ready to move in case the dots are dangerous?"

Allan jogged over to the tree where his staff was, grabbing it eagerly before returning to the others.

"Is it just me or did the sky change colour? Maybe I failed to notice it, but I thought it was blue."

"Indeed, Allan. I'd rather not be here when those dots get here. Iris, you coming?"

Lucas gets together his small kit, and proceeds to go with them.
"Yeah, if we stay here too long, who knows what will come for us. Lets Go.
((just saying here, i'm gonna be on the road for a while, about 4 hours or so. ))
