Lucas comes out from under one of the trees, rubbing his head.
"Alright, now that the latest headache is over, I'm gonna just hang out with you guys. I also heard some clanking, a loud gunshot, and some swearing. but yeah. I'm fine.

"Might start a small fire? You know, keep us warm and set the mood. Not using my summons this time."

Barth appeared behind Nathan as water started to pour down from the heavens like it was time for a new deluge, staring briefly at the Angry Marine but delivering his message before disappering back into the forest without waiting for any answer.
"Hey, I set up tents in that direction. Better head there if you don't want to get drenched."

After some time walking around and trying to find and tell everyone where the tent was, he came back to the tents, his strange waxed leather umbrella over his head before he got into the same tent his backpack was.
"Kindling? I have some, but..."

He gets back to rummaging through his bag silently.

"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Allan placed his staff against a tree and entered the tent, waiting eagerly to hear how Richard came across such strange kinds of demons. He sat down next to the catgirl.

"Thank you m'lady. The rain is certainly falling rapidly."

Allan looked at Richard.

"If you need kindling, a small bit of my cloak would do nicely, but it's far too wet outside for a fire now. And a fire in the tent would be ill-advised. I suggest we wait."

"I'm comfortable."

While she says this, Iris is rubbing her arms.

"Alright then."

Richard cleared his throat and started.
(Warning: Quite a bit of referencing to Persona 3, minor canon derailment to allow for Richard's existence.)
"Back about two years ago, I was in my first year of college.

I wanted to see the world then, and they were offering a free field trip slot. How could I say no?

All I needed to do was write an essay or something or other, so I did.

I submitted it, found out where I was going. Japan, land of the Rising Sun. I'll show you lot pictures of it later.

Anyway, after flying there for a day and a half with the rest of the students on the field trip from Heathrow, we landed in Tokyo. From there, train ride to Kyoto, another city, then to Tatsumi Port Island.

The place where I would be changed forever."

Richard took a breath, then continued.
"Spent about a day going about buying stuff, seeing the sights. Tatsumi Port Island really is a nice place to go to, I will show you lot pictures.

Anyway, our teacher told us not to stay out past ten. Said some delinquents wander around at night.

This is where my idiocy kicked in.

I said, "Eh, what's the harm?", and stayed out.

Wandered the local mall for about two hours, played games, drank coffee, and stuff.

At about a minute to midnight, everything stopped.

The fountain I was next to turned bloody.

Everyone around turned into coffins.

All the lights and electronics, including my watch, just shut off and left everything with a green glow from the Moon.

This is where I went, "Oh, bugger and shit".

Barth sighed. "We could start a fire with this..." he shows an oddly shaped object, like a bowl. "But I'm afraid that if a gust of wind may cause sparks to hit the cloth. I know the cloth is resilient, but I'd rather not risk it."

He unstraps a fairly large oil lamp from the side of his bag and puts it on the groun, lighting it with a piece of flint and steel and fiddling with it until the flame got large, almost to the point of touching the glass protection around it.

"Here, light and heat. I have some pints of oil to keep it going and also two blankets to anyone suffering from cold." he says before giving a thick woolen blanket to Iris and starting to listen to Richard.

Iris takes the blanket gratefully, wrapping it around her self until the only visible parts of her are her eyes.

Brecan was thoroughly bemused by the large, angry man-thing that had attempted suddenly appeared and starting swearing loudly. He shook his head, and made his way over to the tents, cursing quietly as the rain started.

"Well, that was odd. Looked like a half-ogre."

Richard took another breath and continued.
"So I ran out of the mall, looking for the hotel I was staying in.

No luck, everyone was coffins there as well.

So I wandered around, looking for people who weren't coffinized.

I wandered into a particularly bad part of town. Shirikawa Boulevard, the sign said. It's like Southwark in your time, Allan; filled with brothels and love hotels.

Anyway, I walk around for another minute when I see a couple of teens! And they were alive!
I went to speak with them, when I realized that they wouldn't understand me, me being English and them being Japanese and probably not English-speaking.

That, and they were carrying large weapons; one of them had a bow, another a frigging longsword!

Oh, and one guy looked like he popped straight out of anime; moving stylized pictures for you lot. Guy had BLUE HAIR for chrissakes!

Anyway, I walked off, tried to find someone else, when I get surrounded by these blob things. They had masks and HANDS. Tried to grab me.

So I picked up a nearby wooden pole and started smacking them.

I kill the last one when suddenly a voice goes on in my head:
"Thou art I, and I art thou."

I get the mother of all headaches, and then..."

Iris leans towards Richard.
