Richard sighed.

"Did you get hurt when he dropped you? Marines can be rough, especially nine-foot tall genetically augmented ones."

He ignored the feeling of Pendragon wanting to rush out of his head and smack up Angerus.

Then again, Pendragon did NOT like bullies, or even people who seemed like bullies. He'd learnt that when she'd forced Richard to take out his Evoker and summon her, and beaten up a thug mugging a high school student on the streets one night in London.

Richard had to explain that as alcohol-induced fighting injuries.

(Not saying Angerus is a bully, but to Pendragon, and to an extent Richard, he seems a bit....intimidating.)

Allan walked over to Iris, digging in the socks. He kneeled down with his staff towering next to him.
"We won't get very far by just digging into a mound of socks. Might I suggest a stroll through the cave instead? It may prove more productive."

"I'd try to-wait, hang on...where are we?"

(I thought we were in the clear. Are we in a sock cave or something?)

Iris suddenly digs up and runs several meters away, then digs back down.

"Hm, let me try.

Richard pulled out the Evoker and intoned "Orpheus!"

A strange robot appeared, with a large harp on it's back and an organic looking head. It intoned;
"I am Orpheus, Master of Strings. How may I assist thee?"

Richard thought for a moment about how his plan might hurt Allan and Iris, then pointed at the top of the mound.

"Hm....um, yes, fire at the mound, perhaps?"

The robot complied, and blasted a small fireball at the mound.

"Wasn't what I expected."

Richard apologizes quickly to Iris, and motions to the smouldering mound.

"Were you doing anything there apart from digging out? If you were, I'm REALLY sorry!"

Richard looked sheepish.

Iris growls, then says;

"I want to be alone for now."

Richard shook his head and dismissed Orpheus.

"I'm an idiot, aren't I?", he muttered to Allan.

Allan noticed Orpheus and the fire, but reacted a little too slow.

"Gah! What are you doing?"

He dropped his staff, which fell to the ground with a single solid thud. He dived onto the sock mound, attempting to use his cloak to smother the flames before they grew any larger. The fumes coming off the burning socks was nauseating, but he tried to keep his head clear.

"Tried to get the mound out of the way. Clearly, I failed. Sorry, mate. "

Richard looked even more sheepish and walked off to a rock and took out a book on Arthurian myth.

He was sort of embarassed, partly for looking like an idiot to Iris and Allan, but also because he hadn't considered his actions well enough.

Steve Irwin finds Bartholomew sitting against a tree's stalk, his primitive leather umbrella stuck into a hole. He raises one hand in salute as the Australian God approaches.

"Hello there. I went after some herbs not covered in socks, but a lot of these seem simply alien to me. I just hope the material I brought proves enough." he says before sighing and getting back to smilling shortly, resting his head on the bark.

"Hey steve." You speak into the air.
>Yes?
"Could you guys also make a hamburger out of this arm when they cut it off? I wanted to eat it just for the sake of tasting it."
>That is horrible and disgusting. It will no doubt set you apart and create fear in your team mates. So of course.

Allan started brushing the ashes off his white robes, now marred with grey flecks and spots.

"Well, all is not lost. We should find the girl before she gets herself more lost than we are now. There is much that we don't know about this place."

He picked up his staff from the ground and started walking after Iris.
