Things go missing. It's a basic fact of life across the multiverse. Sometimes they're found again, but sometimes they seem to vanish from reality. These things do indeed vanish. They end up in a place known by many titles, but for convenience, we'll call it the Lost & Found. Everything that's ever been lost and never found again ends up here at one point or another. Entire worlds composed of mismatched socks, galaxies of loose change, and stranger things still litter this infinite void, alongside more conventional worlds and structures. Life is abundant here, and entire civilizations have risen and fallen in the endless history of this place. But for most, survival here is a struggle, most settlements being nothing more than close-knit tribes of people of all species and outlooks.

The idea behind this should be fairly obvious, but I guess I might as well give a bit more information.

The idea is that the players take on the role of new arrivals to the Lost & Found, waking up in a distant, isolated part of it, and must struggle to survive and hopefully find a way off the ball of various detritus they find themselves on. Any kind of character is appropriate, short of deities or other beings of comparable power. That means no Mary Sues. They will be handled PPC style.

This will be free-form.

ALSO: NO CANON CHARACTERS FROM OTHER WORKS. THEY WILL BE ELIMINATED. BRUTALLY.

Brecan Greene rubbed his forehead as sat up, only to find himself at the bottom of a rather large crater. He stood up, looking around, before sitting down on a nearby rock.

"Well, I've really mucked things up this time..."

Richard woke up, several hours and miles away.

He whipped out the Evoker he used, and his cricket bat in the other.

He could have sworn he'd been in his apartment; literally, he'd just seen Sigurd not five minutes ago.

He slapped a hand onto his forehead, sighing.
"Bugger. I really am gutted this time, aren't I?"

Gordon Freeman

Steve Irwin wakes up, and blinks his eyes. He feels his wrists. No tubes, no machinery.
"Crikey. What happened?"
This certainly didn't look like the hospital he was in a few moments ago... In fact, this looked like nothing he'd ever seen before. He stand up, and walks over to a young man with a pistol and a bat.
"Oi! What's all this?"

Nathan wakes up coughing & briefly wonders where his cigarette went.
"The one time I actually get some idiot to believe me, I end up... wherever here is.", He grumbles as he looks over the landscape. He gaze settles on a pair of men not far from where him.
He strides over to the two, gathering his composure.
He clears his throat loudly & impatiently says,
"Would either of you gentlemen happen to have the slightest idea where in the hell we are?'

"Just as clueless as you, mate."
He surveys the area around him.

Brecan had gotten up from his spot, and had been wandering for several hours, before stumbling across a small group of three people.

"By the Twelve! I was starting to wonder if I was alone here. Was getting terribly, terribly lonely."

Steve turns to look at Brecan.
"How long 'ave you been here?"

"Several hours, at least," he said, scratching at his ear, "But it's kind of hard to tell without a sun or moon for reference. And any chronological devices are much to bulky to be lugging around."

Nathan stifles a yawn and begins rummaging through the pockets of his jacket.
"You know, if you're lacking a timepiece I may be able to get you one. For a price..."
He yanks out a gold-painted watch from his jacket and holds it up for Brecan to examine.
"It occurs to me that we've yet to introduce ourselves."

Richard stumbled into the clearing where the two were talking.

To them, he appeared to have a pistol and a cricket bat out.

"Uh....hi?"

Iris wakes up on a tree branch. Her first response to the unfamiliar surroundings is to stand up, and you can guess what happens next.

She then proceeds to swear loudly.

Richard heard the swearing, and noticed that there was a strange man behind him. Austrailian.

The guy had the physique of a god. Looked like one too.

He also looked...familiar. Was he one of those Austrailian surfers or something?

He was confused. He looked around.

A wizard guy. Austrailian Adonis. A shifty-looking bloke.

None of them looked like they had his ability, and they didn't look harmful. He sighed and pocketed the Evoker, but kept the cricket bat out. He did NOT want to be unarmed here.

Now finished swearing, Iris sits up and and prods her ankle. She curses a bit more at whatever gods placed her in this place, before testing if her ankle can hold her weight. She falls over again.
