(I am fine with sharing what I find in the catacombs. I'd -love- us to get an army together, and pull forward as a team. Of course it doesnt matter who raises the remains. Provided of course we're all planning to work together.

But Forsaken is sitting on valuable information (Regarding a herd of nightmares).

Why not share this information? Why not tell the rest of the people in the tower? The only argument that makes sense to me is: He wants them for himself. This argument is supported by him going out to try to tame them.
This reeks of putting personal power before the power of the group. Thusly, I'm preventing him from gaining what power I can. He tells me about the nightmares? Fine. I'll give him access to my skeletons. Everyones happy. We gain a herd of nightmares (since I'm better suited to tame them), we gain some raised skeletons (as we wont have to deal with Dragor's horrible horrible casting). The tower becomes stronger.

He doesn't, I don't tell him about the skeletons I found. Divided we are weak, but since this is the course of action that is currently going to occur.. I'll make what plans I can and move forward.)

(You know though, there's no reason to get all snappy about it in the actual RP. Seriously, if you're going to get all uppity over the fact that forsaken hasn't told us about the nightmare herd, when he's really got no reason to tell us about them. He tries meat, and that doesn't work at all. Its not even like any of us have you know, wondered about the giant sack of meat that he's carrying around. What Im saying is that his character has no real reason to tell us about the herd, as we haven't even asked him about it. Plus I think we're both taking things a tinsy bit too seriously.

Its a game, we should have fun, not petty squabbles.)

((It's very simple. Thantiz has no reason to know you'd be interested in a nightmare herd. Why would he tell you, or anyone? As far as he's concerned, it was a bunch of horses who had no interest in his meat. If you can't deal with these things in character, why are you even playing? OOC rants about stupid concerns aren't part of this game. PLAY THE GAME. Its fine if you don't want to cooperate IC. Do so IC, rather than whining OOC that someone hasn't done something you'd like.))

Dark Magi Revived-Episode 1-Turn 10: Clean Bones...
« Reply #170 on: November 02, 2012, 03:19:35 pm »

Turn 9: Down to the Bones...

Isinath

For once nobody opposes your claim of the library. [5] And being not disturbed by some idiot who would almost rip your heart out over some books, your learning progresses well and you finish your Studies of the Element of Blood.

Isinath masters the Element of Blood

Odahviing,Ochita,Max

[1,2,1] You search and search and search...and find nothing...nothing at all. You find that you have pretty much mapped out the whole catacombs and that you have emptied it of all worthwhile stuff...of course theres still the two chambers with the bonerage golem inside...

The Catacombs have been completely emptied, except for the room with the Bonerage Golem, they now are a part of the Storage Caves for the Tower.

Anthony

[6][4][2] Taking possession of the Mana Forge you begin happily to hammer away...on and on and on. You work for Hours, from outside only faint screeches, the crackling of concentrated magical energy and the one or other curse can be heard. Finally you leave the chamber, your face pale with exhaustion, you drop into your bed, next to you your Staff. When you awake you feel refreshed and indeed wiser, many things that were not understandable to you now seem easier.

The Manaforge is crackling with energy and not useable for 5 turns.

Anthony creates a Lich Staff(raises Level Cap by 1,rolls with d8 instead of d6)

Anthony reaches Rank 2 - Adept

- Mitigation of a critical failure - On a critical failure (Roll of a 1 on 1d6) the caster gets an additional 1d6 roll. On a 4-6 the failure is negated and the spell instead has no effect
- Limited to a single sphere
- May include a maximum of 2 elements
- Elements must be directly linked

Thanitz
((OOC: now im actually not sure what you are doing so, i just go with raise Skeletal remains))

[2] You try to raise some Skeletons, but all you do is make some weird creations which fall apart pretty quickly...what a crap day.

((Close enough. My action was "If skeletons available, raise skeletons. If not, raise mummified remains. Since it failed, it doesn't matter anyway"))

Thanitz, never one to simply give up, decides he simply doesn't know enough to complete the ritual required and so heads back into the library (hopefully) to continue his studies. Again, his research has no particular direction, and he studied whatever he comes across. (Random element, whatever you decide)

If anyone tries to block him from using the library, he offers them tea along with a sack of raw meat and a (badly drawn) picture of a flaming horse, which hopefully will distract them long enough to let him get inside.

"This ability.....will be useful. One for actually getting off my ass and doing something, two because it seems interesting."
Anthony wandered the tower, looking for some of those skeletal remains he'd seen being carried around.
Go find some of the skeletal remains and raise them with bone magic.

Max, frustrated with the catacombs, goes back to do what she does best: smithing. This time, a new hammer. The old one is still good, but a bit too mundane for her taste.

Isinath had spent hours dragging his skeletal remains into a single room, then he sealed the door, and endeavored to lay some magical defenses on the door. (IC action to defend -my- resources from being stolen.)
He also scrawls a brief note next to the door: "Skeletal remains. See Isinath to use."

Isinath then tracked down Odahviing. Isinath gestured towards Odahviing's mangled arm.

"Studied Blood magic. Could maybe regrow arm. Interested?"
(And IC teamwork action.)

With consent, endeavor to regrow Odahviing's arm with Blood magic.

Max arrives to the smithy and finds the forge is unusable.
Out of boredom, she goes to the scrying chamber to check on her old village.
