Good morning everybody! Welcome back to Keskalinsél, or Shotgangs in our tongue. It's early spring, and nothing much has been ordered yet - everyone's having their New Year celebrations still.

What's my dorf's traits and skills?

Here you go. He seems to be.. rather physical-oriented.

Profession: Metal Puncher.

I have no clue what I was doing when I allocated skills lol. For now, let's just assume that the founding seven were in a party of seven miners asked to explore the frozen wastes for minerals.

Also, CHALLENGE noted. Question though - will you allow us cage traps and retracting bridges?

Well, our forge and smelter are up and running, we can make more picks, so plenty of picks to go round

I chose the most appropriate dorf. Namely the only dwarf with any cheesemaking skills in the whole fort.

I chose an impulsive dorf for you. Sadly, it's not a he-dorf.

Volfgarix made a clay statue, which was promptly installed to boost morale. Someone then decided to host a party, involving all the founding seven.

Midsummer update time!

Some elves came to our little frozen hole in the wall.

MrWillsauce went to greet them, and managed to snare some edible goodies off them. Lots of common aboveground plants, but no sun berries yet. Not expecting that, and we can't really use that until we get some sunlight poking down into our caves. Or we can just live off the elves.
Trading must have tired MrWillsauce out, as he flopped down on his bed after trading with the elf merchants.


As the elves left, a swarm of undead ice wolves showed up. One of these undead wolves made a beeline for an elf and his donkey.

Although we didn't get any more migrants this season, the womenfolk popped out a few more babies! Congrats to mastahcheese and Nepeta/Objective/Vucar!

Indeed, this fort seems to be doing fine.. so far. I haven't walled off the caverns, so a lot can go wrong still, especially if FBs come along. Here's the description of the statue:

No cake, but there are biscuits, stew and plenty of booze from aboveground and underground plants
