Paypal being shady, again.

Edit: and future proofing, hopefully where they'll put the amendment
You now have to mail them a physical letter to opt out of an agreement to arbitrate on an individual basis. It seems a little suspect to require every single one of their users to send them mail for an exclusively online service.

Thoughts? And does Toady know about this?

Isn't arbitration as an individual a pretty standard user agreement item? At least you can opt out of this one.

It's standard in that people have started to use it and call it standard. I still call it shady, considering PayPal has a pretty solid monopoly for businesses that can't afford the time to process and track their own transactions. Hell, my roommate pays her rent to us with it. And you're not dealing with a game on Steam, here, you're dealing with large amounts of real money.
