Always remember to pillage before you burn.

Don't spend two dollars to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the Salvation Army instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for seventy-five cents.

I really like how none of you flying friends are coming to help me.  You did see me plummeting.

I really hope this works out without killing me.  Somehow.

Actually, there is only one other player who can fly. And he has also had his wing crippled.

Oh, right.  That second guy is me, huh.  Guess Grek can't really do much besides light me on fire.

With my luck I would throw you a rope and end up hanging you...

One one hand... I really want to try that to see if it is possible.
On the other, I know it will happen, somehow.  If you present the GM with a funnier way to die than pancaking, he'll fucking do it, usually.

You are correct.

I'm going to start rolling this turn, now. Should be up in an hour or two.

Turn Thirty-Three

Players:

Gragrar
Quote
Finish the goblin! Impale him in the throat!

{1v6} Sauntering up to his newly defeated quarry, Gragrar slips on a loose stone and falls. Inexplicably impaling himself on his own sword. {1} It bursts through his abdomen. That doesn't look good.

Grek
Quote
Let the goblin die.
Investigate where I thought the lines were...

{6} In a low crouch, Grek manages pokes about in the ash where he believed the lines were. In but a few moments they pulsated back into existence, feeling slightly warm to the touch. The lines did not fade away.

John Zombie
Quote
Observe surroundings for some spare rocks. Any thing to block the lava from the gold.
Gets angry. Throws snowpebbles into lava. Carefully oversee fight.

{1} Amazingly, despite a recent sub-surface multi-megaton explosion, there is simply no rock to be found! That, or John is simply a complete idiot. There isn't any snow, either! Probably because of the recent volcanic activity. Lava doesn't mix well with snow.

Ynot
Quote
Headbutt platform and conjure sword out of displaced materia.

{2} This he does verily! And it hurts. A lot.

Sarron Vs. Archer
Quote
Flip over.  Use woman as a cushion.  Try my best not to die.
Quote
Maintain control, guide the bird over to a hill. Brace for impact.

{Sarron:1 Archer:4} In spite of the bird's meager struggles, Archer did not lose her hold or position.

Impact!

Sarron Damage: {6} Rolling out from under the Archer, you land deftly on your feet. unharmed.
Archer Damage: {4+1} Apparently, the Archer is equally skilled, or lucky. Alighting without a scratch.

Klaus
Quote
Wield both daggers and go stab the goblin.

{5v6-3} Stabbity-stabbity-stab. Stabbing prone, crippled, half-dead things is fun! Stabbity-stabbity-stab...

Unknown Human
Quote
Consider how to kill the sprites if need arises.

{4} Unknown remembers they are magical creatures, and realises that so far, the only way they have interacted with the world is through energy.

Hu Man
Quote
Lick floor.

{4} He does! And it was delicious... Wait, that wasn't the floor. It was actually a small loaf of bread remaining from the box that blew up several turns ago. No idea how.

Hex
Quote
Walk toward the combat with my pike in hand.

{5} Arriving in record time, the stone golem is now standing by Grek and Archer.

NPCs:

Goblin
Quote
Be dead.

{N/A} He does die very painfully.

Archer
Quote
See above.

{N/A}

Demigod of Death
Quote
Laugh at the pitiful creature.

{2} It comes out as a sort of hacking wheeze, not a very effective taunt at all.

Spot/Listen Check:

{13} A few clouds of thin smoke are billowing out toward the valley, blowing in from an easterly wind.

Test fire breath on lines to see what happens. Unless Sarron indicates a desire to be burnt.

Work out a way of overloading the sprites with nuclear energy, or converting their energy to nuclear energy.

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

I hope you both understand exactly how much I will love the following turn in the unlikely event that Sarron gets a one, correct?

............ After finishing writhing in pain, try to pull out the massive strut and find something to bandage and cover the wound.
