Grab a vial and run up the stairs. Then look to make a meal, oblivious to the death and destruction outside.

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

Sure...You'll be the only one I don't try to screw over. Also, what's this about Adamantine? Never encountered it before in any game.
It tends to show up in a lot of fantasy games, and it usually finds its place as an midgame or endgame weapon, depending on what you're playing. Regardless, the material is of high quality and is renowned for being indestructible. Wolverine's claws, in the Marvel comic universe, are made of it, and its sometimes called Adamantium, or some other variation of the word adamant, which means rigid and unyielding.

Is anybody going to tell him that Adamantine in the Dwarf Fortress universe is extremely light, and completely useless as a heavy bashing weapon?

Because if not, I guess I did. Heheheh.

I'll just treat it as a Daedric Warhammer from Skyrim, seeing as I've never played DF.

If I may join:

Race: Human
Gender: Male
Name: Gragrar Jynson
Language: Common and a small bit of elvish
Occupation: Lord's Retainer (sort of like a noble bodyguard)
Powers: Trained in Swordsmanship (Not really a power but a bonus of some sort perhaps?)

If I can join, can I start in the hut, and start by searching for a bladed object to use as a weapon?

EDIT: Also, he isn't stupid like most bodyguards, he's actually quite intelligent.

WHAT? Really? I thought bolts damage was calculated by their bashing/crushing power?

Damn. Time to re-arm my marksdorfs...

I probably wouldn't, if I were you. It's like hitting somebody with a mallet made of glue and feathers.

Again, this isn't necessarily the DF universe. It could be....the Metal Gear Solid universe for all we know. I mean, in the games, there might be this one planet that fits what we've done so far perfectly.

This is Bay12 Forums. We like Dorfs, Dorfy universes, Magma and Booze.

We also hate elves, trees, carp and skeletal moose.

If it's NOT in the Dorf Feartress universe, then...What would it be in? Everything else is pretty much inferior. But, well, it's up to the game-master to decide, I guess.

It COULD be somewhere in Tamriel. Or something like it. The dwarfs played an important part, and built several mechanical cities, now in ruins but filled with treasure, blah, blah, blah. We might as ell use it. It fits so far.

With what's happening (You know, the sheer absurdity, and actual dwarves), I would say this does seem a bit more like the Dwarf Fortress universe.
I really hope Toady puts in raining hammer biomes.

I actually thought all the RTD's were in the DF universe, I had no idea other choices were an option. But because of how this is going to pan out, consider it a pocket universe created by a demigod avatar of Chaos. As for Adamantine, Caerwyn stole my kill. I actually purposely dropped that hammer to see if anyone would pick it up and use it, only for it to bounce off harmlessly because of it's low weight. But you can reforge it into a sword or other weapon should Grek fuel the flames and someone build a forge out of river rocks. Or something else that makes at least 40% sense. As you can tell by the raining Warhammers, logic isn't a requirement. More of a guideline.

Side-note, the posts might start slowing down. With more NPC's, more areas, and more people, these things take a lot longer to write.

Also, Gragrar, you're in.

Okay then. Do my previous Action, just with a Hammer that would be USEFUL somewhere.
