Blenk wants everyone to stop killing each-other, Yeti wants meat, Human wants to live, and I'm bitching that Mesor's character started a bit overpowered.

Well you, me, green, caerwyn and the odd addition by others.

But take it as a good thing, it means people like your game a lot.

(( O also my skills only came in during the assassin fight, I did not begin with them so they were kinda developed during a fight which fits for what they are. ))

Perhaps I should start a secondary thread for everything related to this that is not a turn posting. Not that I'm not enjoying this much thought being put into the turns, physics, and realism of this game. It's just a bit of a pain surfing through seven pages to find the ten actions. The fact that most(all?) of you bold your actions help significantly, thanks for that by the way.

You... gained an instinctual trait during a fight?

Attempt Telekinesis, throwing Josh back, onto his own weapon.

((It's worth a try. I mean. It involves my head. And not my body. So. It's possible. Kinda.))

Oh, and I approve of this action. I meant it as in biting, but loophole abuse is always fun. So unless you get a five or a six, nothing will happen. A six is

Awesome lol.
Once he's dead and gone most of these long ass discussions will probably fade out since most of it revolves around our fight.
It's not really an instinctual trait though is it?
Say that was the first time I really lost it in a fight so it's the first time I went into a blood lust, thats how I developed the skill and even today a lot of people draw strength from anger so it fit's well enough.
It is strong but my character has a few glaring weaknesses including the fact that I have no magic at all, the assassins horses have more magic then I do.

Look, the point of an RTD is not to see who can overpower other players.  You start weak, and develop, like our Half-Troll (See?  I remembered!) here.

I like you. And I like to think that Blenk's gotten petty lucky with the whole magic thing. To be honest, I feel that magic doesn't have strong enough side-effects. Usage of magic should weaken the user, perhaps permanently for more powerful spells, and/or intensely back-fire now and then...It's not really "Magic" if it just fizzles out on a bad roll. Rolling a 1 while trying to blast someone with a fireball should light your innards on fire or something like that.

And yay, you remembered! You're like, the only one who does. Keep it up, and I'll get Blenk to make you a wooden golem or something.

And I figure I'm pretty calm, too. Right? RIGHT?

MORE COFFEE!

It does. The reason no effects have shown themselves is because there haven't been any ones on a magic roll. Needs verification.
I don't make any penalties for proper magic use, but I have very specific ideas on how magic works. Mainly on how it's entire basis is on literally making the laws of physics your bitch. Meaning should you fail, the world around you will react violently from the suddenly released energy. I.e. you are trying to heal Bork, you roll a one, his blood turns to gasoline and his brain is turned to lit magnesium. Knowledge of chemistry will explain what happens next.

Say you try to make a wood golem, three nearby trees will shoot roots out of the ground under your position and try to impale you.

Use your imagination for other failures. Magic use is in my opinion, dependent on the user's knowledge, physical strength, and creativity. So as I see it, magic will drain your strength. Reason why that hasn't happened yet? Other than Ynot's frequent toying and your healing, there hasn't been a point where it would come up.

As you have seen. I don't tell you about certain things until you see them, or they become important. You did have a drain applied to your strength( and in the case of Ynot's magic missile cloud, Agility as well.). It just never came into play before it wore off.

Edit: Oh, and sixes don't have quite as spectacular endings. For reasons stated thusly:

A one: You accidentally rub your foot across two runes and the containment ring accidentally summoning a Daemon and losing control of it.
A six: You mistake one rune in the summoning circle, leaving you with one rabbit rather than three.

A one: You turn the campfire into a fifty foot abomination of Magelyte, a small portal to hell has been opened in it's center.
A six: Your attempt to put out the fire accidentally changes it from a type-one fire to a type-two, leaving it immune to extinguishing by water.

See? A one is what happens when you mistake the entire school of magic you were using or something equally catastrophic that even a mere apprentice of the arcane could see would lead to disaster. While a six is more like forgetting to carry the four in your equation leading to three parts eye of virgin to each gram of aluminum powder rather than four parts.

Turn Twenty

Players:

Josh
Quote
Clamp one hand over my wound to stem the bleeding as best I can and prey to all gods to heal me and remember the sacrifices, use other hand to finish Bork off by cutting off or pulverizing his head, or both, if I manage to heal then collect the dead humans weapons.

Yeti Regeneration: {1} The bleeding of your throat is slightly reduced, all other bleeding stops.

{6} You slightly staunch the bleeding and pray to all the gods of the current world. Pleading for divine healing.

Roulette time!

God of Justice: I told you idiots, SHUT UP!
Vaarnien: I said no.
Malice: Not my forte.
Durkon: Alcohol can only heal so much. *hic*
Urzan: What? You expect me to build you a mechanical eye or something? I'm busy.
Clavicus Vile: I'm listening. Are you so willing to make a deal with the patron God of Wishes, Dreams, and Aspirations?

Clavicus drags you into a small pocket dimension, pulling you from the timeline for your chat.

Before you stands Clavicus Vile, he is in the form of a small demon with glowing green eyes.

So, what will it be? Do you want your eyes and throat back?

"Anything."

Excellent. Grasp my talon and our agreement will be sealed.
Clavicus extends one talon towards you and adopts a malicious smirk just as you grab hold. He twists his talon in your grasp and pricks the interior of your palm, drawing one drop of blood. Clavicus Vile forcefully grabs your hand. Josh roars in anger and tries to pry his hand loose. No amount of mortal strength can overcome a God. Clavicus pays your struggles no attention and draws a symbol on it in your blood.

Enjoy, and keep an eye out for me in future.

When Clavicus releases your hand you find yourself back where you were, with all your wounds healed. You look at the back of your hand, the symbol is still there, and has now become black.

Search for the source of the noise underfoot, try to get down there.

{1} You continue hearing the cries of agony, but cannot find the location.

Grek
Quote
Excuse myself, and investigate the sounds in the ground.

{6} You find your way to the Bolthole, and stand at the ready to enter.

Ynot
Quote
ALRIGHT I JUST WALKED OUT OF THIS FOREST INTO THIS TUNDRA AND TOWARDS THAT VILLAGE OVER THERE AM I FOLLOWING MYSELF

I'm not putting this above myself. At all. Better examine.

Also, pet the bears. Gently.

{N/A} You check carefully behind yourself, comparing the tracks you just made with the tracks you are following. {3} You confirm they are different from your's.

{1} Ynot's attempt to pet the bears turns into a hearty thumping, almost blunt force trauma. The bears are agitated by this. You knock of Polar Bear B's laser.

Bork
Quote
Attempt Telekinesis, throwing Josh back, onto his own weapon.

{6} You try to channel the unknown forces of this world, trying to lift and throw Josh onto his weapon. You try to contain the forces assaulting your head, but your head asplode.

Blenk
Quote
Blenk will try and heal Bork through mental...healing!

{N/A} One does not simply raise the dead....

Klaus
Quote
Sneak behind the animal, trying not to either startle or alert it to my presence. Stab it in a fatal spot.

{2} You try to flank the Boar, but your foot knocks a small pebble loose on the river, knocking it into the water. Causing a splash which makes the Boar turn its head around to look. It sees you and runs away.

Unknown Human
Quote
Head into the bolthole, hammer at the ready, in case of anything dangerous.

{N/A} You climb down in the Bolthole. You are met with a gruesome sight, A blood-soaked yeti is standing over a human, the human's body is mutilated in so many ways it would be pointless to list them, but you do manage to take note of how his head appears as though a sledge hammer smashed it open like a ripe melon.

Valentine
Quote
... Block Josh and Borks thoughts of each other. Essentially making them invisible to one another.

{N/A} You are attempting to block Josh and Bork's senses, but suddenly you lose Bork's mental signature, directly after a sudden bout of intense mental activity. You fear the worst.

A.I. {6} Sarron
Quote
Sarron hugs the flaming tree.

{1} You fail in such an amazingly fail-filled way, you fail at failing to fail at trying to succeed in failing. Legends say the fail was so thick, you could cut it with a wet sock filled with margarine.

NPCs:

Arken

{3} Arken leaves the hut with Grek to search out the source of the ungodly screaming. The duo arrive at the entrance to Arken's Bolthole, preparing themselves to plunge feet first into hell.

Flora and Fauna

Polar Bear A

Polar Bear A sniffs at Ynot's slightly missing tail.

Polar Bear B

Polar Bear B growls at Ynot and begins to walk away after picking up his laser in his mouth.

Spot/Listen Check:
{1} No one sees or hears anything.

Sarron, you have A.I.'d for three turns. You have been set to permanent suicide A.I. until your next active turn or death.

And thus dies the first PC, may he be the last. Killing a character is like assigning the death penalty, it brings out every rules lawyer from every dark corner of the world.

I would like to say no more Divine interventions. Any more and they will turn out even worse than Josh's did.
"But Onyx, Josh's was perfect! He's healed completely and he didn't have to do anything!"
How about some homework? Google Clavicus Vile.

Take all of the weapons from the ground then use both my old and new hammers and attack the tunnel walls with all my strength, target the stones set into the walls or any seams that I can see.
Shout a warning to the people in the tunnel to run.

Take all of the weapons Bork dropped then drag his body down into the cavern and look around.

Yeti Assassin?  I think you're thinking of the wrong Daedra.
Out of curiosity, would it be possible for someone else to claim Sarron?

Perhaps, post an action for Sarron, if his original player doesn't post an action for Sarron before next turn, you can have him.

Cool!

Stop hugging the tree.  Go find someplace that's warm, but not on fire just yet.
