.... Why all the kill-stealing? Third time I wanted to do/reveal/cause something and a player beat me to it. -depression-
Aww, f*ck it. Still enjoyable when deployed.
But yes Bork, he does have that skill. We worked it out in a few PM's a while back. I
was going to unveil it whenever the need arose. Why? Because just inserting it in when it's not needed would require changing every previous entry. This way I just have to include it as something to the effect of: "Josh has never felt this genuinely angry before...." Or some such self-discovery rant.
tl;dr: mesor is correct.
Incoming Rant Part Two
The information contained is completely optional, it does apply to gameplay, though.
You would do well to kill or disengage fast, Bork.
Hint: Think. There are three buildings most of you have seen. Three have so far been uninhabited. What do you think this could mean? Who built them? Where are they now?
I always include a way out, not an easily seen or even implemented way, but a way nonetheless. Take the Assassin's for example. They all had personalities. Each with a complex character flaw. One of which was exploited, Mono and his connection with his steed. Quake was compulsive. Scales was proud. Dutch was just stupid. Should Valentine have examined their thoughts these would have been laid bare. Should anyone have paid careful enough attention to their individual actions? Same result, though less specific and accurate. Not the easiest thing to figure out by any means, much less properly use, but it was there. Literally every obstacle you come across, be it from one another or from an outside force, there is a special alternate path. Besides just absolutely demolishing it. That is also almost always a choice.
Are these long-winded, overly thought-out plans, that have a million-to-one chance of success? Perhaps. but you must always remember, drama, my friend. We are telling a story here, not a realistic experiment with the physics, chemistry, and cultures of another world. This is very much a story. And nothing gets a crowd going quite like an unlikely barely plausible escape from the clutches of a vastly superior foe through use of cunning, popularity, morality, powers divine, or even intelligence.
Oh, and one of them will almost certainly die soon. Whether it's by the other is up for debate and rolling.
Edit: I'm going over the character sheets.....
Apparently they aren't balanced. I'm a firm believer in how annoying getting Nerfed is. So if anything, buffs will be handed out.
