Literally troll the files.
Make trees at embark turn into trolls. (And any trees that grow turn into them.)
Make every 50th stone dropped turn into a troll.
Make trolls invincible.
And so on.

None of those are possible. You can, however, make dwarves randomly turn into [CRAZED] trolls.

Mod dwarven children into trolls. Don't know if you can specifically choose newborn babies, but having trolls come out of the dwarves would be a fun shock.

Unless normal dwarves were also trolls, not possible.

Lowering dwarven speed to 1000-1500 would be nice and subtle. They'd wonder why their FPS was so low...

Make Dwarf blood transform all it touches into Elves.

That way it could lie dormant for entire seasons until a siege shows up. Then the fun begins.

Make dwarves bleed agressive bees. They will bleed a constant stream of bees until the wounds healed or treated, the bees will sting then die. It will mildly annoy all of his friends!

Jokes aside, I'd say that a good way to sabotage is to give dwarves an interaction that they give each other that will transform them all into crazed badgers if they stay on break for too long.

Do cats actually head bump things that aren't cats? As a side note, I'm going to try most if not all of these things on myself all at once and try to survive.

Make it so that iron melts/boils at absurdly low temperatures.
Remove the [Megabeast] flag from all Megabeasts.
make Goblins and Kobolds have skin made of steel.
Make a custom item that explodes/ignites at air temperature, give it to Dwarves as an [Itemcorpse] drop. All Dead Dwarves explode!
Make Plump Helmets boil away at room temperature.
Make troglodytes' size huge, and increase their punch attack damage so that they punch like steamrollers.
Change the metals' display names, so that iron shows up as copper, steel shows up as silver, adamantine shows up as iron, copper shows up as rose gold...
Remove the brewer job from the Dwarven civilization. For bonus points, change the hotkey for the craftsdwarves' workshop to 'l', and rename craftsdwarves' workshop to still. He can build it, but it won't make booze...


Make sure you don't do too many things at once, you don't want your bud to realize that he's being screwed with too quickly...
