It seems our would be emperor has added starving civilians and trying to spread plagues to his repetoire of murder and treason.  What a lovely individual.
Assuming that it is aimed at me, and not Lord Aqizzar(whom is the only would-be emperor that we know of), this statement could not be farther from truth.
Apart from the last bit.

I was going to apologize for taking a day, and I still should because I did.

But also, Kebooo you sent me Palazzo's save instead of yours.

A missive to the Hazat.

As Patriarch of the House of Hawkwood, and Imperator Regent of the Realm of Man, I have tolerated exactly as much as I am willing to tolerate.  I recognize that I have said such words before.  You sir, are the first to bring war to the very throne of mankind, and to borders long ago agreed upon.

As Regent, I hereby command you to remove your warships from orbit over Byzantium, immediately, and allow the peaceable return of representatives of the Noble Houses to their former seats.  Your trafficking with aliens and ferrying them to Byzantium itself is a matter for after.

As the Lord of Hawkwood, I hereby demand that you remove your hovercrafts from my territory on Vril-ya.  Never have we come close to blows and as such you are more than entitled to fair warning.  In light of your unthinkable acts elsewhere, you are entitled to exactly one warning.

Be in peace, Armiger.

Why is it that there is always plenty of time for fair warning when ever anyone else is annoyed but when people have a problem with me they always shoot first, ask questions never?  Seeing as Hazzat's guns haven't even cooled from the unprovoked sneak attack he launched on me you wouldn't think he'd be accorded so much respect.

A missive to the Hazat.

We've been friends for so long that it would be unbecoming to let this situation escalate into armed conflict. I shall promptly order the removal of my gung-ho Vril-Ya commander and make sure that the troops return to their territory.

But you must admit that you're equally to blame for these rising tensions, having planted SEALs practically next door to my holdings. They must have irreversibly contaminated the indigenous eskimo population's gene pool by now.
I should hope they won't be staying around for much longer now.

I'll also try to limit the number of ships over Byzantium, to a reasonable degree. But do try to understand that I have an invasion underway. I'm sure that the Fleet Commander has little to fear from the few stragglers that might end up recharging their jump drives over our capital.

I'll also try to limit the number of ships over Byzantium, to a reasonable degree. But do try to understand that I have an invasion underway.

I understand all too well.  It is exactly a statement like this which makes it clear the situation is beyond reconciliation.

There is a horde of alien marauders befouling the very soil of Byzantium itself, proudly bearing Hazat livery and coveting Hazat treasure.  Others lurk and amass upon Vril-ya, awaiting their call to infest the last jewel of mankind's crown.  Indeed you feel the need to safeguard your invasion force.  It is an invasion of seat of the Imperium and there is nothing left there for your hideous minions to attack save myself.

It is true that we have kept watch upon each other for a very long time, and in the interim I have tolerated far more aggressive posturing and wicked sorcery from your expanse than any sane ruler could be expected to tolerate.  My paranoia proved more founded than I could have feared and still I thought it more honorable not to act.

The time has come, Armiger.  You have trafficked with powers that would bring the doom of us all if left unchecked, and I will no longer stand by on silent guard, more concerned for the good name of Hawkwood than the Empire I was past chosen to lead, until your sword is turned against me as well.  You consider upon warfare in the heart of the Imperium to be a matter of politic?  Then so be it.

Admiral, make ready all vessels.  We shall approach the Hazat diplomatically.

Turn sent.  I also mistakenly wasted a SEAL on Byzantium, so no need to comment on that.
