Turn sent.

Decados nobles insist on leading from the front.  I can hardly be blamed for them getting caught in the ensuing crossfire.  We have taken control of Tethys and the noble on that world perished; killed before identity could even be established.  A pity but such is war.

Ironically the rebel forces of this world occupying the shield generator proved to be far more dangerous a foe then the Decados garrison did.  Both forces tried to pit masses of outdated troops against a real army but at least the rebels had some token modern forces.

Jesus, Kebooo, what's with your banzai noble strategy? I'd understand if you had the battlemaster trait, but keeping them on the frontlines for no good reason...

At this point I must express more confusion then anything else.  After the first three were lost you'd think he'd carefully guard those that remain.

The only thing I can think of, is that he captured this particular noble from the rebels, and did not manage to evacuate him on time.
Of course, it wouldn't be in his interest to tell us that this was indeed the case.

The only way he was going to get off was the freighter that was going to be finished next turn. Unfortunately it was too late before I realized mainiac was going to go after Tethys rather than Cadavus.

But why was he there at all?  Why not just move him away like 5 turns prior?  Or why not move him away from the city?  Non-blademaster, non-battlemaster nobles are hardly likely to tip the scales of a fight.

It's more for the retreat bonus than anything. He had to protect the starport for the freighter. And due to the war on Cadavus I haven't been able to spare transports for a noble. Of course I will be much more careful in the future, but I have to admit it is making for a dramatic game. Too bad the south is so boring.

Heh, at one point I seriously suspected the game might end just because we'd all agree that Aqizzar is the best choice for the Emperor anyway.

The occupation of the outlying settlements of Tethys continues.

House Decados has been occupying the fringe territories of Vera Cruz while my fleet is away.  Please enjoy our hospitality.  In particular, feel free to feast upon dirt and stones, as you won't be eating any food grown by the people of Vera Cruz this harvest.

Damnit! The Hazat has reached peak oiltrace while our overgrown military lobby needs a good reason to keep the defence budget this high!
Gotta invade some poorly defended desert planet whose foreign culture is alien enough to justify our incursion, preferrably by invoking religious differences and the threat to our way of life!

Oh, look, there's Vau.

The Hawkwood and al-Malik agree with us that the opressed subjects of the Vau should be liberated post haste.

So I figure I would try this out for anyone interested, not sure if there's any limit to images or text per post or thread so tell me if I did something wrong. To give a chance for folks not in the game to see what its like beyond House Reports that hide the good bits for fear of giving the others too much info or trading venomous barbs and insults at each other.
