Yeah, I know, sometimes I just don't have the wherewithal to devote the hour needed to properly play a turn.

Just sent it by the way.

It's alright, you are a forum icon so you could get away with murder as far as I'm concerned.

I have had a very curious bug happen, nothing serious but the game seems to think I've gained an extra lab when I have not. I was asked an extra time to devote research to a tech. Naturally I chose nothing, but still. Another bug to add to the pile.

And this isn't from the Garison's lab?

I remember that bug with an extra lab happening to me once before. I was playing al-Malik then too, so maybe it's their special power, eh?

Continuing the topic of bugs, a few years back I've decided to make good on my debt to the Eye for losing its transport, and paid for a new ship's construction. Guess what? It dissapeared on the turn it was supposed to be completed. Damn corruption sure is rife in the imperial bureaucracy.

And for something completely different, anyone knows a good way to capture a noble? Planes don't seem to work, and an all-milita army killed the last bugger I tried to adopt into my family.

Well first I'll try to isolate the noble.  They are immune to indirect and direct fire so I'll attack with units that only have that and are themselves indirect to the nobles indirect attack.  Then I go after them with a medium sized stack backed by one of my battlemasters.  Keep in mind that the noble is going to need to get hit but then survive several rounds of damage before they rout.  So it takes some luck to get there.  The best units for this would probably be tracker legions and patriot hordes but I generally find that militia can do the trick if you use small stacks and are willing to accept quite a few failures along the way.

Is there anything more annoying than mountainous jungle worlds? Engineers moving one hex at a time...ugh.

Landing troops on a mountain world, moving them one space and then being unable to attack with them.

I'm sure it's not the Garrison lab, when it asked me the extra time the lab was supposedly on Istakhr.

For Nobles I use an officer and trackers when I can. They tend to take awful losses when I do but it more often than not works.

Annoying? That would be three different holdings each with a Laser Defense Gun. On an island world. That world will be the death of me.

I find the best way to deal with that is to take the other islands, build factories on the shore, then bring in some naval transports to start shuttling troops over to the main island.

Man, there is alway a tickle of dissapointment when it's Saturday morning and I sit down with a cup of hot coffee, only to find out that there is no turn in my mailbox.

Yeah, sorry about that.  I do tend to have plans on the weekend.  This was kind of true today.

Esteemed members of the Imperial Senate, I have on advice been considering a new mission for the Fleet.

The Fleet has proven unworldly for attempting to enforce a peace accord by anything other than wholesale bombardment, and I take the shame of this shortcoming entirely upon my command.  But exists within known space a threat besides Strife and the now weakened Symbiots.

I speak of course of the Vau.  That they have not shown themselves to be overtly hostile should not be taken as any intention of living in harmony with humanity, would we should allow such at all.  Already their raiders pose a threat to the outlying settlements of the Hazat and al Malik.  With one scourge of Imperium contained in perpetuity, I have given some weight to my counsel to now turn the Fleet's attention to the southern reaches.

Doubtless this would be a costly endeavor, one that would take the Imperial Fleet some time to recover from after inevitable victory.  As these forces are the property of all loyal Imperial citizens, not House Hawkwood, I leave approval to you with the rights of command.
