And I am not suing for peace. I expect without your relics that you will not be able to take Cadavus without incredible expenditure, and you will be assaulted by marauder legion after marauder legion year after year if you ever do manage to capture it. There can NEVER be peace on Cadavus now, not if your house still aims to occupy it. "War of choice", bold words for a man that forced my hand. You think I would declare war on the al-Malik over a planet? No. They never declared hostilities with my house, they never blockaded me, they never were occupying lands next to my colonies without prior negotiation or declaration of intent. Of course we have been over all of this a thousand times.

But just like your cowardly Lord Yi Teng, you seek to have the fleet aid you in your conquests once again. My brothers laugh at you from their graves.

Yes, yes, it's all my fault you are a dishonorable rogue.  We've heard this before.

Damn right I am, among other things.  Kebooo didn't actually send the turn until this afternoon, but I didn't have a chance to check until a few hours ago anyway.

Turn sent.  I can say, I'm getting more than a little concerned about all these armed men running around on Byzantium.

It has become clear that the Fleet cannot enforce a peace upon Cadavus, not one with any meaning, and this has become a conflict that I cannot see a way to arbitrate.  The Decados drew first blood, and Li Halan retaliated with assassination.  The Fleet does not have the power to prevent these kinds of assaults, and until a better means of mitigation presents itself, the Fleet will begin withdrawing to Byzantium for repair.

You wanted your war, and you have it.  Never has Hawkwood proclaimed that warfare is not a legitimate means of argument, and you have both proven yourselves willing and ready to carry this conflict to farther shores.  Perhaps when you have bloodied each other into submission, then can a more staid decision be reached.

Lord Mainiac. Remove your assassins from the vicinity of my holdings on Byzantium, immediately.

If it means so much to you I'll remove my scouts.  All they were doing was searching for any additional decados troops.

Well you could announce a surprise invasion of Kish with the imperial fleet. I think everyone could agree that would be a wonderful thing to say.

I for one would think that would be the military tactical blunder of the century. Do you know how difficult it would be to order a destroyer to try and physically invade a farmstead? Watching one of the elite starships of the Empire routinely crashing into a pig farmers shed in an attempt to conquer it, while hilarious, would kill at least dozens of crewmembers per attack.

Margrave has a truly unique grasp of space warfare.  Why has his name never come before us as a candidate for fleet commander?
