Tool for advanced inventory management?
« on: October 11, 2012, 05:13:39 pm »

Hello!

I've already tried to find something like this but so far I didn't...

I am looking for a tool that would allow for a somewhat more advanced stock management...first of all something that would allow me to view my current inventory in an external program, a simple csv dump would almost be enough...
Even better would be something that would update periodically in order to be able to view trending data and so on.

Does something like this exist?

If I have understood correctly, Dwarf Foreman does something with automatic job dispatchment, but I don't think this is what I am looking for (or I really haven't understood Foreman ;))

I would love to create something like this if it doesn't exist, but unfortunately my programming skills are kinda lacking...

I've been meaning to create something for this, essentially a GUI for dfhack's workflow utility, with some transient history tracking to show trend charts. Don't know if anyone's done anything similar yet.

It doesn't seem so...

Anyhow, I like the idea of yours to combine this with workflow. For some reason I haven't noticed workflow before (I feel stupid now) but it would go really well together, I think.
I'd love to test it!
