So you side against Azthor earlier under the logic of maintaining balance.  But now that I am in a weaker position (I withdrew and returned his resources but have not yet taken posession of Leminkainen) you are siding with him.  I must say, his choice to poison pill the treaty is doing wonders for him.

Because the general opinion clearly demonstrates that House Hawkwood is at wrong here, right? So, what will it be, Lady Regent, can you be made see reason or is there no choice but for the Houses therein joined to turn their swords against you?

Stop your bellyaching and give me the damn save.  Once you've done that you can bellyache to your hearts content.

When I wanted to take a little time for diplomacy I delayed the turn for a single day and that was the only turn that I delayed.  Please stop dragging this out, you are killing the fun of the game.

And all of this is on top of the fact that we went through all the diplomatic negotiation and then you shoved a giant fist through the middle of our negotiations by just casually claiming Bonnockburn at the end.  I don't want to waste my time negotiating with you if you are going to immediately make it all null as soon as the ink is down.

You can't take multiple days to get a turn in repeatedly and then say don't worry I'll have it today.

Get your damn turns in or let us get a replacement player.

Hawkwood just attacked one of my freighters without warning or declaration of war.  This freighter was on a route to Byzantium which had previously been declared open for passage.  As such he is in violation of the treaty and the imperial fleet is authorized to interdict his forces.

As agreed upon by lord Hawkwood and myself I was to transfer control of two transport ships to him at Leminkainen.  I had sent the first ship, along with the soldiers who were to occupy Leminkainen when it seemed that our negotiations were going well.  However as we all know negotiations broke down at the last moment when Hawkwood decided to add control of Bonnockburn to his list of demands.  My ship had already departed for Leminkainen so I would need to order the ship to turn around.  It never got the chance, it was blasted out of orbit without warning.

The perfidious nature of Hawkwood is on display once more in case we needed any more demonstration of it.  In addition to being a treacherous lie mongerer he is a petty murderer and a treasonous son of a peasant.

((Or at least this is as best I can recall the events.  It's been so long since my previous turn that I might be confused.  But the long and the short is he blasted my transport at Leminkainen this turn.))

While that is treacherous (and, I think, requires some form of compensation to Al Malik  :-\) it is at the same time proof that the freighter was not going to Byzantium.
(Is it really the same turn? D--n this game is slow)

The freighter was assured free passage of Leminkainen, both by Hawkwood and the terms of the treaty regulating imperial forces.  Once the deal with Hawkwood fell through I was entirely within my rights to send the freighter to Byzantium through Leminkainen's orbit.

A treacherous and despicable act! But while al Malik rightly should be compensated, I am not certain this case yet warrants the application of Fleet Power. I would hear from Hawkwood and the assembled nobles first. Perhaps other compensation can be arranged.

For the time being, I would encourage House al Malik to route their shipping to Byzantium through Criticorum, as it is more central and thus more easily policed.

Ghazkul and myself have a dispute over the interpretation of house rule 39:

39. During a single Regency (the time between two elections), you may not promise more than one Ministry to the same House, or the same Ministry to more than one House. Nor may you promise your votes to more than one House. There are bugs which allow these situations to be exploited.

We signed an in game contract whereby one player pledged votes in exchange for tech.  That contract was part of a broader agreement between the players.  The broader agreement seems to have ended.  The player who pledged the votes feels entitled to pledge his votes to a third party.  The player who gave the tech feels this would be in violation of house rule 39.  So... what do the rules say on this?
