Those are mine...just ignore them, they are not headed for Criticorum its only a quick stop, the men needed to take a leak.

You mean they actually disembarked?

And could someone post a map?  It would make the useless comments from spectators more relevant.

EDIT: Assuming historic map, only House Decados has anything to fear from Criticorum falling into Li Halan hands, as all other houses have alternate routes of equal or lesser distance to Byzantium II.  And even House Decados has a route that is only one system further from Byzantium II.  Furthermore, Criticorum is right next to Li Halan, so it is only natural that they would desire to hold this planet.

Although I'd suggest starting the bribes early if you want to obtain an office when somebody else wins the election.  Extra troops and fleets are always fun!

To: House Li Halan
From: Erwin Decados

House Decados will acknowledge the claim of Li Halan on Criticorum if we can freely travel through the system.

Yours,
Patriarch Erwin Decados

The Li Halan troops are not moving towards Criticorum.  They are moving towards Leminkainen.  This is an action that I consider to be quite unacceptable.  They are a long way from home and should stay in their own part of the galaxy.

But on the historical map, Leminkainen is nowhere near your space.

Not in terms of x, y positions but it's right on my doorstep in terms of jump routes.  And considering the dearth of places for me to go it's actually the second closest world to home.

Aylon and Malignatius are the only worlds that are one away.  Malignatius is right next to Kish as well however.  Criticorum, De Moley are two away but are one away from Severus and Kish respectively however.  Nowhere, Bannockburn and Shaprut are two away but only by travelling through symbiot infested space which is not a safe thing to do.  That leaves Leminkain which shares the virtues of not being:
1) Right next to someone else's homeworld
2) Through Symbiot territory

I would be willing to give up claims on Leminkainen if I could be given sovereignity over Malignatius instead.  However this unsanctioned move on Leminkainen is a clear attempt to box me in.

I won't grant you any sovereignity over Malignatius, at least i think it's in my space if i am not mistaken

I just realized I need Ghazkull's email address.
Even grognards are confused now. Can we please do this:
reorder the houses in OP in accordance with turn order: Li Halan, Hazat, Decados, Hawkwood, Al Malik

Hmmm, I seem to be having some trouble with the text entry on the password field. My password contains the letter 'r' and though I press the 'r' key on my keyboard, no asterisk appears! I notice something similar with the letter 'o', rather than entering an 'o' into the text field it clicks the O.K. button. All the other letters seem to work as I'd expect.

I'm sure I'll figure out a work-around eventually, but if someone already knows a solution to my problem, I'd love to hear it.

And it is absolutely nowhere near Li-Halan's. And only a planet away from my homeworld.

Wouldn't the same (probably) have happened when you first typed the password?

Who are you addressing? EuchreJack isn't even playing.

In fact, it did not. However the field eventually started working again, so there's that.  :)

Proclaimation from House Li Halan:

House Decados is hereby granted the right to transit Criticorum Astrospace with out boarding or other delay, if the purpose of this transit is not hostile to Li Halan interests.
Aywen Li Halan.

Can someone explain exactly what's going on here? Al Malik says Li Halan troops are on Leminkainen, but then Decados says that those troops actually belong to him? And then everyone started talking about Criticorum for some reason.

I thought EuchreJack was Li-Halan for a second there. Of course, I was mistaken. Edited.
