You could always gloat in PMs to spectators. I'm too busy to consider joining a game right now, but I'd love to hear of your devious plans!

You guys need a house al-Malik still, right?

You can have my slot, I'm a little busy this week.

This isn't a game that ends in a week.  It's a lifelong commitment.

Further proof you're more qualified to be al-Malik than I.   :P

Have at it.  Show us again why everyone trembles when the words "mainiac" and "EotFS" are in the same sentence.

Has the turn even gotten around to Al-Malik yet?

Just ensure that before it does, all planets around Byzantium are tagged.

So that mainiac has something to do.

I dug up the relevant thread. It looks like he started a war on like the first turn by claiming sovereignty over the planet and space of Criticorum, which is smack dab in the middle of many important jump routes.

That thread does not fill me with confidence. You guys averaged just over 1 turn/week and it wasn't even finished properly. This is why we love Turn-based Simultaneous-resolution games.  :-\
Speaking of, Hawkwood has had the turn for 2 days now, what is the hold up? You only have the 2 dozen units right now.

Player changes slowed us. While moving pace was faster.
