Yeah, but it's not unbalanced if everyone can do that. I could see an argument for something a little less than 4, but to get Rule of Law or Noblesse Oblige (which give a good long-term advantage) at +4 you already have to take two of the big disadvantages.  The whole point in even using the trait system is that the houses get some differentiation. Setting it to +4 allows one to choose between taking some small advantages and no disadvantages, or taking major advantages in one area and some disadvantages in others.

Oh. Oh, you guys would do this while I'm trying to run a big ol' Aurora MP. Put me on the interested list.

Just to get the game already started, lets settle with +4

I nominate a1s for Li Halan!
Sigh, fine. I'll take Li Halan.

No, no...i've got my hands full with BSA. Once that gets up and running and just needs maintenance maybe I'll think about it. Just posting to watch for now. Though I'd be happy to do Al-Malik in the next round.

Alright! a1s, because you're Li Halan, you have to create the game with the agreed upon settings. I'd suggest leaving the security password off to make it easy to substitute a player if someone disappears. Then you do your turn and email me the save file, and then I pass it on to Decados, who passes it on to Hawkwood, who passes it on to Al-Malik and so on. I guess we can pm each other email addresses as necessary.

EDIT: Oh, I just realized that without passwords we can peek at each other's saves. Maybe we could leave the passwords with a trusted third party or something.

What I've done previously was to give the player immediately after you your password. Barring a conspiracy between the player that is before you and the one after you, the one after you would never see your password screen. And if they bow out or disappear, someone will have that password information.

why the hell can i choose every single positive trait without choosing a negative one? I thought we'd play with restrictions on those traits...

Nova has only "ALL Traits" and "No Traits" options. To have the "+4 points" rule, "All" option has to be used, and trust that nobody has tiny cohones.
