« on: October 09, 2012, 06:49:00 pm »

Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen. Some of you may know Emperor of the Fading Suns. Some may not. It is an Turn-Based Hex 4-X Strategy game, the setting to quote Il Palazzo: " a bastard Child between Dune and Warhammer 40k"

We use the Historical Setting (except again somebody has complaints 'bout that
Universal Warehouses will be turned off of course.
Plague and Rebellion stays on.

A bit more detail would be nice.  Since I'm already in the Dominions 3 game, I'll have to think about it.

Question-wise: Are random planets on or off?

I'd suggest using one of the mods, because the vanilla game "forgets" all the outlawed techs after each save and reload, AKA after every single play-by-email turn.

seconded about mods (but for gameplay reasons, rather than bugs). And sign me up.

Yeah, I'll sign up as well.  I do love this game, although it has been a while since I've played it.

Well i'm pretty much a noob so, don't blame me too much on lacking Detail, i'd say we use the Historical Setting, except you guys wnat something else. Mod-wise i'd say Nova?

I like Nova.

I might suggest random instead of historical, because historical gives an advantage to those who know the map well.  But I'm fine with either.

Nova is great.  I'd be interested in this.  I think my head is a bit cooler then the last time I played.

Oh man, filled up already? And I was thinking about trying to start some EFS a few weeks ago. Well, you can keep me in mind if you need a substitute down the road, I guess.

Well I got to play last time so I'll give up my spot and go on the replacement list instead.

Ditto for me, now that you mention it.

Hehehe, oh boy, EoFS!
Say, mainiac how about a separate game for the veterans? Maybe we could get Aqizzar on board as well?

Judging from the way Aqizzer described our last game after the fact I don't think he was too happy with me.  But it would be bitchin' awesome to try again now that the scars have faded.

It's worth coming back from the dead for a legitimate game of EoFS.
