Empty space in laptop?
« on: October 08, 2012, 05:27:04 pm »

So, while looking at my computers internals and cleaning out a bit of dust I saw this empty space where it looks like something should go, and do to my limited knowledge about where stuff goes in laptops I need some help figuring out what is supposed to go here.

Stash your stash. Or a flashdrive full of the pronz you don't want anyone to find.

Ok, so I can just stick another harddrive in there. Neat. And if I put a flashdrive in there it would make a lot of noise.

No, they're when you go to a driving range and flash all of the rich golfers before running off.

I think you mean solid state drives commonly refered to as chip memory or flash drives.

Floppy drives. And no, you don't have one. Unless you bought one or have a computer older than recent.

I want to know why this guy thinks flash drives make a lot of noise.

I meant Roboboy33, not you.

Also, floppy drives never really beeped.

I remember the floppy disk drive would make some clunky noises when reading but I could call it a beep as well...

Everything beeped. Some beep quieter than others. Some beep in non-beepy ways confused for beeps.
