Modding clothes to not Rot.
« on: October 07, 2012, 09:58:29 pm »

I'm sick of my dwarves leaving their clothes all over the place when they have perfectly good cabarets to put their clothes in. Is there any way I can mod the clothes that they wear to not rot?

Please, this is driving me insane, and I'm really sick of the redundancy of making clothes.

Go into the raws for clothing Items and add

[ARMORLEVEL:1]

To what ever doesn't have an armor level, that will stop wear.

Might as well chalk it up to Pathos.
As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

Note that migrants will appear naked if you do this. I recommend to let shoes and cloaks unmodded, or all your dwarfs will go nuts.

In a hole in the ground there lived a dwarf. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a dwarf fortress, and that means magma.

try replacing the [SOFT] tag on clothing with [HARD] according to the wiki, that should do the trick
