Everytime I try to deside on those particular mods, I always think the modders who make those mods should all sit down and colaborate on several model sets for all the races, so everyone looks nice but not like the person right next to them... You understand?

Yea I agree.
Tough I do recall a certain mod which made things different between each race for females.
Altough I will not link it here due to it being NSFW.

You have to wait till I get home from work.
Because I don't think they would allow me accessing such stuff on their computers.  :P

Its alright I can wait.

Should mention the morokei enchantment fixers for the shout cooldown, and the dragon priest mask retextures...
I really think psychosteve's and Apophysis are the only ones to really consider for that though, the rest arnt as nice or are just silly or funny retextures.

I just tried getting back into Skyrim with some of the mods I had used before... and found that when combined with the newest update and the two DLC, I kept crashing and freezing. ><''

Yeah same thing keeps happening to me.
Perhaps we should keep away from  our favorite mods untill they have been properly updated?

My motto is "Less mods, the better"...the problem is, if one has too many mods the game just CTDs too much. That is the same as it was in Oblivion/Fallout 3 and New Vegas. However, if one chooses larger compilation mods, while they are bigger, the game CTDs A LOT less, if at all. I don't think the game can handle a hundred mods, that some people put on their game. Then again, I'm sure someone with 200 mods runs the game just fine. So it all depends.

Anyway, I personally like less mods, but bigger ones. Doing it that way has stopped CTDs (for me) in Oblivion, Fallout 3 and now Skyrim.

Having said that...here are some mods that change up the game (be it graphics or gameplay)...I have like 50 mods or so, and the game works fine. I'll just list some of my favorite ones.

Texture Pack Combiner...I'll get this one out of the way. if you want to use the whole package, it will take 2+ hours to download everything and install the mod. What it does is take a lot of graphics mods, and combines them into one pack, so they are all compatible with each other. Need a higher end PC for this one

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20801

Vanilla vampires suck (but Dawnguard does improve them, and this mod is compatible with Dawnguard)

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9717

Makes character creation that of Oblivion...choosing major/minor skills, birth sign and what not

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/21587

This one adds TONS of dialogue (both voice and text) to NPCs in Skyrim

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8429

If you want a completely different Skyrim experience (compatible with character creation mod)...adds tons of new skills and lots of new stuff.

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9286

DLC quality mod. If you get any mod on this list, you need this one

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9782

And two mods for being a better mage (since Skyrim vanilla mages are really bland compared to other games in the series)

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/8451

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16225

I was using Midas mod for spells (that I saw recommended on first page), but it has some rather...game breaking bug(s). If you get all the tomes that are from Midas and use them, it causes your save to become broken and get an infinite load screen. I've seen this reported a few times now. Granted, it could be an incompatibility. But in any case...Midas mod is abandoned, hasn't been updated in ages. It was updated before all the creation kit changes Bethesda made a little while back, so who knows what problems it could have.

Skyrim Improved Magic System is a must though for a mage, it adds some new spells and balances it out. Plus, you can actually choose what spells to start with out of a list of choices. Apocalypse Spell Package goes well with it, and adds a ton of spells...some are a bit overpowered though, so keep that in mind. But the creator updates constantly to fix/balance/add things.

Skyrim Redone is the only mod I would say is a must-have. Vanilla Skyrim was very poorly executed gameplay-wise to me, and this mod reworks just about all the core mechanics; combat is significantly more difficult even on the easiest settings, perks are reconstructed and pretty much every perk tree has useful and viable options, playstyles are more well defined, stamina is no longer a pointless resource, even races are tweaked and given bonuses that fit their race while STILL being useful. It basically changed everything I felt was done wrong in Skyrim while keeping what was done right.

I don't think the game can handle a hundred mods, that some people put on their game. Then again, I'm sure someone with 200 mods runs the game just fine.

On a completely hilarious note, PCGAMER did a five part LP on their attempts to play Skyrim with EVERY mod installed.

"Every day this week, we’ll be visiting a version of Skyrim unlike any you’ve ever seen before – a world thrown into anarchy and chaos by Sheogorath, God of Madness, and the assistance of over 200 blindly-installed mods. In our first part, get ready for epic dinosaur battles, Whiterun’s new theme park, fandom striking in the strangest places, and an awkward meeting with an old friend."

http://www.pcgamer.com/2012/09/10/skyrim-week-of-madness-day-1-the-world-according-to-sheogorath/

It's easily the funniest LP I've read all year.

"Epilogue

The technical side of wreaking chaos

Over 200 mods were installed for this diary, not all of which were noticeable or worked together. Here’s a selection of the ones whose effects came through, mostly stored on Skyrim Nexus. Others were downloaded in bulk from the Steam Workshop and a few other sources. There’s a ton of stuff out there, from city redesigns to mechanics changes, goofy additions, new followers… in fact, pretty much everything except a mod to make public indecency a crime. Odd, that.

In many cases, the effects of them as seen in this diary will have been caused by conflicts and incompatibilities with other mods rather than being intentional design choices. As a reminder, they were neither checked to see if they worked together, not what they even did."

Yeah I download hearthfire and bam 2 random mods break and or incompatable, not anything major so done deal until paypal stops dicking around with verifing my photo'd ID I'll be set to download dawnguard and her mods without individual hearthfire incompatabales in the 149 I got left.

Also great lols during testing when I tried to make a new char and scenic carrage rides caused all sorts of flipping vehicular madness by not being enabled after being installed.
