((Actually, I thought I'd have left the corpse behind because I decided to edit my action some time before Irony posted the turn. He didn't make any mention to me dropping the guy's corpse, but I assumed so. I was just going to keep playing tug of war with the snail and book it, because my HP was back to 3/5 and I didn't want to face the snail.

But then I checked my status and it still registered the corpse and 5/7 hp, so I decided to give my luck a shot at attacking the snail.))

Seeing nothing immediate, you continue down, arriving at, depending on how you want to look at it, either a four-way intersection or a T with a passageway to the right. The main corridors look identical to all the other corridors, but the other way is a smaller doorway leading to a tiny room with that blue-haired guy in it.

Verock panted a bit from the exaustion of dragging the injured kid and his pet corpse away from the snail. He stood up, let Matthew stand on his own two feet and began responding to the mans inquiry about his bodyguard.

"No clue."

He turned to look at Matthew.

"And you, no more being a hero! You're going to get yourself on the bad side of the next beast, and it might be harder to escape from. Don't expect me to save you if that happens."

Head down the road less traveled. OR with the allies, whichever seems safer.
