"Cheer up, you." Aira said as she sidestepped the Destroyer King. "What got you into this melancholic mood?"

Verock glances at her, and gives a small, knowing laugh.
"Why, I must return to my kingdom, and continue unifying the continent, of course!"

Aira looked him over and decided to withhold her quip. "Then let's all work together. If what mopey said back there is true, then death would have a harder time taking us if we're united, eh?"

Take second place in the line to the stairs.

Abby, being of sound mental ability, decides to search the room she's in first before moving into the unknown.

Search the current room then move up the stairs after everyone else.

Abel never thought much of company, but the lot of them seems interesting enough. Then he just nodded to himself.

And followed them to the stairs.

Turn 2, Floor 1: The First Test


Everyone begins moving towards the stairs, except for Abby, who tries to search the room first.

[2] The lack of light makes it difficult to see anything, but a quick sweep reveals nothing by sight or touch.

With that, everyone ascends.


The staircase is long and dark, but eventually you all emerge into a stone hallway, with what appears to be a four-way junction up ahead. The staircase grinds shut behind you.

"Well now, this should be a simple enough test. Don't dawdle too long," the voice from before calls out, still mockingly and still seemingly from somewhere above and away.

It is still very dark, but there almost seems like a diffuse light around you. You should be able to make out things that are very close, at least.

Closing eyes to get them a bit used to the darkness.

Kiaphus does the same, and moves towards the middle of the group.

Abby searches the room for useful things.

"Alright!" The sound of hands being clasped together resounded through the room. "Seems like we're being mockingly tested. I'm betting there's something in here that's harmful to us; either we find a light source, or use sound to navigate our way. Four way path, three ways we can choose. Who votes we don't split up?

"And now- if only we had wood and a tinderbox..."

Elizo walked slightly behind the group, running his fingers through his hair in an attempt to clean it of stray debris and muttering complaints about the kidnappers stealing his ivory comb. After the expendable commoners ahead stopped, he took the opportunity to right his appearance as much as he could in the near darkness, and yelled into the darkness straight ahead.

"Whatever you want for my freedom, I'll pay! Let me out!"

Fix appearance. Attempt ransom.
