I did a bit of modding to that  itself. Grazers are gone and several mega/semimega beasts are now a semi-common cavern critters: the monsterous beetle is large enough to decapitate an elephant, and it still gets bigger with the collosal beetle. And there's still the monsterous and collosal cave crabs. For reference, three normal cave crabs trained for battle can wipe ot a troglodyte tribe without any help. Imagine what thier bigger cousins can do.

...
Splint was like, "There isn't enough stuff in the caverns that can kill people. I need to add more. Oh, and make it giant. Then make a giant version of the giant version."

Actually, I removed thier semi/megabeast tags for the express intent of them being prolific, terrifying, and above all, ABSOLUTLY FUCKING DWARVEN. BECAUSE THEY CAN TEAR ELEPHANT HEADS OFF IN ONE BITE.

They need to be caught, THEN trained to not kill dwarves before they can be trained for battle. No civ has any information on them but The Somber Sling and that's only because of a previous failed story I was going to post. And it's only A few facts.

Well it really doesn't have any bearing on Limulid. My old embark crew consisted of Corai, Splint, Chops, Wax, Slade, Skull and Cobalt and they all migrated here from the abandoned fort. Chops is dead now. ANd actually I'm building you your little clay hut. It'll have it's own little farm and everything.

Oh, fun! I always like reading story forts of my mod. And yours is quite good so far. :)

Let me know if you have any questions or anything on the mod.

Not a problem, I'm sure I'll end up running into something. Probably face first.

Alchemy can get pretty confusing. Books aren't usually too bad, I don't think. Not sure how often people play around with those or the combat training, though.

I do enjoy creating a Great Library as a megaproject, though. Still haven't gotten around to training up a Legendary Poet, though.

Actually....can I get dwarfed with the next Migrant wave?

No preference on anything other than a high creativity stat. Make him/her eventually get a Scriptorium up and start writing poetry books until he/she hits legendary. You can even decorate them and export them! Name him/her Rune.

Although you'll need a decent supply of animals for glue and leather. Goats work well, since hooves can make glue.

Not a problem good sir. I'm sure a suitable candidate will make themself known in the sure to be massive spring migration when it rolls around (been binging on Kobold Camp. SPeedy Spearbolds: Poor staying power but god help you if they disable your legs)

And actually, a great library does sound like a nice project for later down the line. Never really got a chance to fiddle with books and alchemy because necromancers kept destroying my forts, though I have found giant beetles are amazing ambuisher detectors and sugar beetles DO NOT take shit from invaders.

Anyway, I did away with necros for this fort because of the the problems they kept posing, so maybe I'll actually get to fiddle with all the fancy stuff now.
