I like that idea actually. May play around with the numbers a bit but for now 2n+1 sounds pretty good.

Please note: If you target for an action or move dies before you get to it, I will automatically replace the original target with the closest available one [I.E. W1 attacks W1 but P2's army has killed W1, your warrior will attack W2 instead.]

In my mind I see an entire army charging one person and someone stabs him in the back, so the army looks confused for a moment then just attacks the next guy in line.

THat's the basic gist of it in this version. The battle-map version will probably have this be a problem less often. I had one army have to switch targets for each attack. It was odd.

P.S. We are waiting on only one player to clear something up. Either way at 6 [bay12 time] the update will be up [I don't know if I'll do flavor at all. I'm thinking of doing it only during important or interesting bits. Perhaps each death will have flavor? I don't really know how many times I can say "Warrior hit Warrior. He didn't die" before it gets annoying. It all depends really]

P.S.S. Do you guys want to be kept up to date on possible changes for the second game? If not this will be the last change-log to be noted before the new game starts.

[ B ] without the spaces... It was an oversight when I transfered the thing from Word to Here. It should be fixed by the time you read this. Also, don't forget to get your actions into me.

Not neccesarily. He may just survive to second of last. You never know.

Note to self: Start out smaller than "Immortality" next time. It's hard to think of a good motivator for the next round. I think I got a good one, but I'm up to suggestion.

I think assassins need a buff. On their own, they're good for 8 damage, and that's it. Maybe it's just me. Also, a cooltime on the stealth might be handy. :3
Archers need a nerf. Again, on their own, they'll take down a warrior given ideal circumstances. Heck, even if the archer gets one shot off (and assuming they do the same amount of damage in melee as in range) that's enough to beat a warrior. I think archers should probably only get a 1 in their melee and can't shoot if an enemy's next to them. They're so deadly at range, and they can even target the squishy units in an opposing army.
IMO anyways.
Can't see any problems with anything else atm, though. It's looking good. :)

I'd be interested to know what the Aura and Radii mean, and how far units can plant bursts.

And, also, Tsuchigumo, why did you kill my cleric? That makes me sad...

I'll just post the rules for Version 2 right now. Is that against general conduct to do during the first game? I figure it'll help me iron out kinks easier. Or at least deal with over-sights. Remember feed-back is vital to the process.

Spoiler: Rules for Version 2 (click to show/hide)

Objective: The objective of this game is to be the last player with a standing army. To this end you must select and army and use it to eliminate all competition.
Army Composition: Each army can have a maximum of 8 units. No more than 4 can be Arcane/Ranged.
Turn order: At the start of the game I will roll dice for each player. This will determine what order players armies will act.
Movement vs Attack: A unit can either move or use abilities on its turn. It can not do both. Attacking regularly is considered an ability.
Actions: In order to take your turn you must post it in the forum. This is to encourage more talk about the game.

Spoiler: Status Effects (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: FAQ (click to show/hide)

Q. What does the number beside “Burst” mean?
A. It is the maximum range of the focal point. 5 means that a spells focal point can be, at most, 5 spaces away from its caster.

Q. What is an aura?
A. Aura’s are Radii abilities that are always on and do not require  this unit to use up their turn to use them.

Q. What does [Token] mean?
A. In the instance that it appears next to the unit name, it refers to how the unit will appear on the battle map.

Q. What does Radii mean?
A. A skill with the Radii tag effects all squares immediately adjacent to the caster. Such as below where O will be empty squares, C will be a cleric, and X will be squares effected by his spell.
