I get into a talent show every year and play some metal there, particulary death metal, and have met with actually positive feedback and won something (I was surprised, but i guess people are bored to death of some teen girls badly singing pop songs, im only one who played metal at all there), so i want to do a better show now, something more face melting than previous show, so here i ask you guys for advice.
I need to choose a song (metal song) for two shows, one will be played with my band and one just growled along the CD.
So far i have these candidates for my band show (Pick your favorite):
Tools of the TradeHeartworkYou Suffer (Obviously, along some other song because its freakin short)
G. Grinder (I say G, not the full out not to gross out some people here, since its not the metal thread.)
Incarnate Solvent AbuseWhy Carcass? Because its simple enough to play. I wanted to go for You Suffer>G. Grinder>Other song as a combo for band show.
For my growling only show, even something ultratechnical can be here because i just do the vokillz, so my candidates, plus why this and not something else:
Forever (Because the intensity)
Cold Hate, Warm Blood (Because the sweet melody and "Child beyond time" part)
Open Face Surgery (Because the song)
Phobophile (Because the song)
Kingdom of Tyrants (Because of fun to do the vocals)
So pick your favorite, and if you dont want to pick anything or just post how terribad is metal, and that i shouldnt play death metal at talent show, then go ahead and
run dont post.
