Frustrating Word Game

Does anyone know the pattern to a word game that goes: I'm going to los angeles and i'm going to stay there 3 nights and then i'm going to go to new york and stay there 1 night. Where am I?

It can be any variation of places and nights but there is a pattern that lets you determine the ending place.

The Travelling game

There are variations on the game with different rules for decoding. But, for example, try first letter of each place name, and substitute number of nights stayed for vowels. 12345 = AEIOU

So, for example:

Quote
I'm going to los angeles and i'm going to stay there 3 nights and then
i'm going to go to new york and stay there 1 night.

Decodes to Lina. Whereas:

"I'm going to (V)irginia and staying for (two) nights, then (G)eorgia for (one) night, then returning home to (S)acramento" translates to Vegas.
