Dwarf Fortress cards
« on: October 01, 2012, 06:43:05 pm »

First of all, 2 things to note:

1- Prepare your brain for some serious english fail. Sorry.
2- I'm aware of this thread: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=115011.0   but there, they are making a game. My idea is not a game, but just cards. For !!FUN!!.

Some time ago I had this idea of Cards of Dwarf Fortress. First I wanted to make some cards, based my fortresses experiences.
Today I started to mess in photoshop, and this came out:

Then, I thought "maybe the community could help with this!", and I made this example, with art of Derek Yu, to see what a card will look like, with someone else art.

It looks a lot better xD
So, maybe some of the great artist here can join to this experiment.
One important thing (at least for me) is that ALL the art must have the permission from his creator, or the proper credit.
Also, everybody can help with descriptions and stuff like that.
Creatures, items, places, and of course famous histories (Boatmurdered, The Hamlet of Tyranny, Planepacked, Cacame, Asax, Flarechannel, etc) There's a LOT of epic things out there =)

That's all, I just wanted to share this xD

She was also sad that her father's corpse was rotting in his bedroom, but that's a minor inconvenience.
I love this game so much.

If your looking for feedback, this story almost always is referred to by the name of Ashmalice, rather than the Hamlet of Tyranny. Also, if you feel obliged to note authors, you can just note that the author was anonymous.
