I assume Pufferfish has forfeited his turn. Let's wait another day before going to the next person on the list though.

As a first post I'd like a turn and a dorfing.

A fine choice for a first post if  I do say so myself! You've been added to the list.

Bwah! My turn!? I haven't been keeping track...

Alright, I'll upload some nonsense momentarily.

[EDIT_CLASS:UPDATE]

OK, so looking over the fortress as it stands, we have three problems:
1. There is no booze.
2. We have a buttload of teeth and bones just lying around.
3. It's friggin' disorganised.

This will require a course of action roughly along the lines of:
1. Make booze. (duh.)
2. Assign inactive dwarves to bonecarving. Seriously, we have a LOT of those damn things.
3. Disassemble everything and reassemble it in separate districts. This may also include dismantling some of those random wooden structures lying around the place: we need that wood for charcoal.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

We have more then enough wood last time I remember.   And try to keep at least the structure near the gate and southeastern corner.

The wood isn't random, it's for making the dwarves private rooms. But do what you wish.

OK, so I only dismantled the buildings that weren't fully constructed. Because we haven't regulated our tree-chopping in any way, our wood supply WILL run out if we're using it for the metal industry as well.
But that's not likely to happen this year, so it's not my problem.

What we do have is a pile of... :checks stockpile records: ...sixty-one limestone blocks, all on one tile:

We also have a lot of berry bushes growing around - we're gathering those, too.

I thought everything was running smoothly enough, except that we still have no booze. Pots from the craftdwarf's shop are being made at an excruciatingly slow rate, and they're all getting filled with Armok-damned seeds.
Then this happened.

I should check what they are. But we're not exporting anything, are we?
Oh, and this happened:

Which, um, might be something to do with with my DF install, but I don't know. He did recover quite quickly for someone who got the suturer in the body part.

The combat report isn't a bug, you just didn't see what happened to him. As for the exports, we will be exporting to the dwarves and going to war with everyone else. You could try disallowing pots at the seed stockpile, or just make everyone a craftsdwarf and build tons of workshops to start pumping out pots.
