After messing around with it for around 80 hours, I decided to make something with it. Then it started to crash on start every time. Is anyone having the same problem, or have a fix?

Casual web search suggests that it's a notoriously buggy and unreliable program, and I see other reporting the same problem in other forums also without solutions. The wiki doesn't mention it, but there is a section devoted to crashes because apparently it crashes so often. I do see a couple people claiming that if you crash specifically when you load maps...it's not actually crashing, it just takes a really long time, so if you go away and come back later it might be working.

By all indicators though, this looks like a piece of software to avoid.

It's internal-use dev software made public by popular demand. There's an old rule claimed by a lot of developers that anything being made for the public use will take 3 months work for every 1 months work if it was only internal usage. So basically you have a program written in a third of the time it'd take to make a proper professional-quality public tool. I'd be surprised if it didn't have buttons that seem to achieve nothing *but* making the program crash (I call them the "Halt and Catch Fire" buttons).

It worked perfectly yesterday, and all of a sudden it fails to work. Waited a hour and it still isn't working.

Problem found. It's maxing out it's allotted CPU, causing it to lockup. No idea why it just started doing this.
