Grab the best weapon you can find off of the ground. Something to bash things open will help, because you can't break open a barricade with a pistol.

Also, booze does not play nice with our anxiety meds.

Grab a chair leg or a sturdy looking wooden plank, then try to pry/jimmy our way into the museum.

Go cut the gas station guy down and retrieve his intestines. Find a rock or other dense object to tie to the end of the entrails, then throw the intestine rope through a window of the museum.
