Find a sharp object and butcher the corpse perform a autopsy. Perhaps whatever killed him left clues...

I say find a way away from this godforsaken town. Sleep if you MUST, but only power naps in well lit, yet not easily found locations.

You feel your meds kick in, and you calm down considerably. You briefly consider trying to perform an autopsy, but you are no coroner, and you really don't want to have to touch that thing. You consider a nap, but you don't feel tired. You look around for a defensible location, and enter the bathroom.

He is slumped over in a pool of his own blood, a jagged shard of glass laying at his side. Looks like he cut his own throat. A sheaf of papers is clutched in his hands.

L hand: Flashlight (92%)(ON)
R hand: Revolver (6/0)
Inventory: 1/6
It is 35 degrees Farenheit

You look over the papers. It looks like a series of documents relating to the exhibits at the museum. One of the exhibits is circled with a highlighter. Turning to the page coresponding to that exhibit, however, shows the entire page to have been scrawled over with bloody writing. While you were reading, the whispering appears to have stopped.

The whispering has stopped.

Check underneath the cashier's counter. Usually Gas stations' have some sort of protection. After checking, head to the museum. Look for a clock.

The man slumped by the toilet dosen't look like he had anything more usefull than the piece of broken mirror. Examinging his effects, you can make out the wiriting on the page:
