How well trained in marksmanship is the main character, and especially with one hand, (With the other holding the flashlight.)

Also, we need to be careful for the battery. The battery goes down  1% every post. I'd like the possibility of conserving it in lighter areas.

You point the light in the gas station windows, holding your gun with your other hand. The light flicks over empty shelves. You can't see anything even resembling a figure inside. You mentally check your ammo: Six rounds in the gun, no spares. You aren't quite in the "Never fired a gun before" category, but you doubt that you can hit a man sized target consistently at any more than 30 feet.

Go around building, check any dumpsters and such, then check windows again. THEN head inside. Flashlight on the entire time.

I vote for doing Corai's thing, then mine. We aren't a Navy Seal or a ninja, so I don't think crawling around in a creepy building is a good idea.

You go around the side of the building, and search the dumpsters. They are empty, aside from a few slips of paper. You shine the light in the windows, looking carefully around the inside. It's a bit hard to see, but you notice a plastic raincoat on the ground. The shelves are oddly empty, and there is large quantities of debris stew about the ground. Satsified, you enter the building.

Behind the counter, the gently swaying legs of a hanged man can be seen. The overpowering smell of his voided bowels fills the room. His guts hang out of a massive gash in his stomach, and trail upwards around his neck to the light fixture up above.

A steady dripping sound can be heard.

There is a yellow plastic raincoat on the ground.
