esse = that; este = this, but it requires an object. you can also either say "revive this" = "reviver isto" or "revive this thread" = "reviver este topico"
por que = for what\which; porquê = why; porque = because
deixerei is not a word. deixarei = i'll be leaving(in the sense of leaving behind something); partirei\estou partindo = i'll be departing\i'm departing
pelo = for(in the sense of "because of"); para = for(in the sense of "into")
que = what; quem = who
you also don't say eu("I") as much as in english, because you can usually tell the subject from the way the verb is conjugated

mind you, my portuguese is the european one, there might be some differences from brazilian portuguese that i'm missing. for example, in portugal we'd say "numa"(n'uma, but as it is a standard contraction it doesn't demand an apostrophe) instead of "em uma"

Na verdade, o post citado apresenta alguns erros de grafia (quereria, deixerei, etc). E "numa" também é utilizado no Brasil, mas normalmente apenas na fala. "Em uma" é mais comum na escrita.

Desde a última revisão do idioma há alguns anos as grafias tendem a ser idênticas em todos os países lusófonos, mesmo que o uso e significado de algumas palavras mude.
