Would the order be willing to sell horses?

No. The Holy Order needs all the horse it can get right now. Perhaps in the future.

First year of hiring their services is to cover their food costs, and a vow to aid the Band in a future endeavor. All after that will be food costs, and additional depending on what they will face, or what you plan to use them for.

Obviously the Holy Order can only give aid provided that it does not interfere with their sworn vows. If you are fine with that, then the Knights will hire your services in the future.
Of course that's perfectly fine with me, I'm sure I'll need some aid in a war against some horrid pagans soon enough.
Excellent, but let's wait for the game to begin before making any deals.

Hmm I think I'll hire out you heavy cavalry and 100 of your light cavalry then.
The light cavalry will work as patrols for day to day work while the heavy cavalry will join my personal guard regiment.
One small problem though.
There's no set price for food it changes from player to player.

I'll exchange protection for magical equipment.

My offer still stands, the Circle needs both protection and food. Money and minerals aren't a problem, but we'd rather put those resources into research.

I'll provide both don't worry I have plenty of space for us both and I'm importing a load of food anyway so you'll be fine and don't worry I don't want money or minerals I can get plenty of that myself.
All I want is enchants for my soldiers weapons and armor to counter the magic of other nations.

Which reminds me how many enchants would the stone fort in the middle of my land be worth to you?

There's a huge coast we can build you somewhere for that :).

Give me an extra 100 enchants and scrap the research :).
Your the science guy I'm a soldier all I want is the enchants to give my men an advantage in battle and to counter the other nations with magic.
Hmm I'm gonna be paying you a lot since I need 11200 enchants for my royal guard regiment alone and thats before I get my cavalry.

But once that regiment is fully enchanted then I could smash an entire army with that regiment alone.

Since i only have a small amount of food Im willing to pay 400 food for about 100 men as security detail for all of my outside researchers from my domain.

Current research is the improving the efficiency of smelting.

I can not wait to see how the holy order which can barely afford to cover it's own costs is going to get the money to hire mercenaries.
Will anybody here be paying the Knights to buy an army?
He'll it's gonna be costly for me to hire just the 50 HC let alone a whole army.

I'm just planning ahead. The game hasn't exactly started yet, so nobody has any clue about how their finances are going to turn out.

All the details you need are in the thread.
But if you need to pay for the food then several time's that again to hire men then your kinda boned.
Since you don't even produce enough food to cover your own men let alone to cover an extra army and you don't have anything to trade.

Perhaps you need to read the thread a bit more too.

I current have to support 3500 people, 1000 of which are farmers (600 Farmers and 400 Sergeants). That leaves me with a 500 food surplus with which to hire the Band.
