Well it is low fantasy i dont really mind enchantment as long as its reasonable and dosnt make super weapons.

If you'll enchant my armor to be magic immune in exchange for the materials to make your own weapons and armor then im fine with it.

I concur with the no guns notion. Magic should be kept suitably arcane so that it isn't OP, or it should be dumbed down/distributed to everyone.

I would join the anti-gun alliance.

We are all human so in theory any of us can have mages we just chose not to.
We can always devote some people to learning it.

I never said that magic was easy to learn? Anyway it would lose impact if every Tom, Dick and Harry learns magic.
