-The safest way to protect yourself from the zombies and lava is to dig channles all the way to the spire. Zombies are deathly afraid of light to the point of running away even if a tasty dwarf is near by.
-Since adamantine is able to handle extreme temperatures, a dwarf full decked out in adamantine armor will survive in lava, so long as they have breathable air (6 units of lava or less) or air above the lava as well as swimming skills. Make sure to bring a sheild though.

You forgot to mention that If adamantine is revelaed for more then 2 years without being completely mined it all turns into galena. Useless, Useless Galena.

Are you sure?  I thought it turned into microline in the newest version.

Forgive me, but I believed that the circus was hell itself, not multiple goblin sieges, and you "open" the circus by taking the sugar cane (the adamantine weapon). Some once called it the Big Top. The reason for this was that hell or the glowing pits could be described as the "house of fun".
I've never heard of "hell" affecting the game in Fortress Mode. Perhaps you're talking about Toady's planned site overhaul for the next update?

I would ask why fire can burn two men to death without getting hot enough to burn a book, but then I read "INEXTINGUISHABLE RUNNING KAMIKAZE RADIOACTIVE FLAMING ZOMBIE" and realized that logic, reason, and physics are all occupied with crying in the corner right now.

Right, back when you could actually visit mountainhomes and elf forests and stuff in Adventure Mode.

HISTORY BITE FOR THE UNINITIATED: A few years ago, all "sites" (towns, elven forest retreats, mountainhomes, dark fortresses, kobold ghettos) were visitable in Adventure Mode, but all but the towns were removed so Toady could work on other aspects. At this time in September 2012, he is about to re-add these sites, and I heard on his blog that now there are "hell portals" in dark fortresses that will take your adventurer to a solid adamantine dungeon filled with the demons that didn't escape in worldgen. This is an exciting time!

You might want to consider that this is going to trap more innocents who find it with the search bar than anyone else. It's already #17 in topics if you search "adamantine" and the first one whose title sounds informational.

... if you guys really want to go through with this i guess i'll edit out this post later, but i got the impression you're not actually trying to mess with beginners

Once we have built up enough lies, I remove this little disclaimer up here and the thread is locked (not really locked, mind you) and loaded.
Thanks. Where is it if you search 'candy'?

EDIT: 1st! YAY!
COUNTER-EDIT: OOPS. It's 15th.
And 5th if you search 'SPOILERS'

Also first page of results, ~15th (in the "DF Dwarf Mode Discussion" board), and again the first one that the title sounds like it's going to be a good info source

My badly drawn reports thread is fifth for "adamantine". I swear, that thread has a life of its own.

I thin it also uses number of posts in coming up with a result. Obviously I can't do that myself.
