He's armless

A valiant soldier lost both arms in battle. He now wanders down to the water's edge to attempt to clean himself without success. He's not much better at anything else. What can I do with my disabled dwarf?

You train up a Legendary Kicker. Or the forum will award you twice as many socks for a Legendary Kicker + Legendary Biter.

Make him your hammerer. He might never stop trying and failing to clean himself at the water's edge, but who knows. Of course you might still get some tantrums when he rips the throat out of a bunch of haulers for dissing a mandate.

Do dwarves need hands to use crutches?  He might still be mobile even then.

Di's idea is good. Shapeshifting remembers (is that the word for un-dismembers?) creatures.
Just... have a plan for monthly containment.

Definately pit him after you train him.  Tell all traders:  if you screw me, I'll toss you in with knubs!  You don't want to meet knubs!
